A terrific night for Gretzky. No slip ups on the ice here although a few seem to want to drop gloves with Dave. Mike and Anna are going to need a lot of luck to win this week's game but the beauty of it is...you just never know!

Did my best to try and make it as hard as possible for the answers to be found but knew ultimately it was possible if someone managed to find the right site and puzzles, but not much can be done about it. Will try limit rounds like this in the future but was forced into it a bit with last night's problems. Will post up information about the next step now.

AT THE RACES - SATURDAY 12TH SEPTEMBER

These are the amount of horses each team have in their stable for Saturday:

Jesse Owens: 7
Wayne Gretzky: 13
Mike Tyson: 3
Anna Kournikova: 2
Oliver Kahn: 9

There are six horse races chosen for the game that are taking part in the UK on Saturday. It is the St Leger at Doncaster and that, as well as three other races at the Yorkshire venue are part of this. As well as this, two channel 4 televised races from Chester will be available. Here are those races, and all are available to watch on terrestrial.

2.00 Doncaster (Channel 4)
2.15 Chester (Channel 4)
2.35 Doncaster (Channel 4)
2.50 Chester (Channel 4)
3.10 Doncaster (Channel 4)
3.45 Doncaster (Channel 4)

As things stand (and this will inevitably change a bit with non-runners), there are 74 runners in total within those 6 races. Gretzky can therefore pick 13 of those, and Kournikova 2, and so on and so forth. Which horses you pick are up to you, whether you want to play a large number in one race and leave others alone, or spread them evenly across the races.

Teams will pick a horse in turns within this thread with the order being established right now through a random number generator. This is the order of picks:

Kahn
Tyson
Kournikova
Owens
Gretzky

So Kahn will post their first pick, then Tyson and so on. Once you've picked the amount of horses available to you, you drop out of the picking process and the rest continue until Gretzky have chosen all of their horses.

Come Saturday, winning horses will earn your team 3 points. You will receive 1 point if a horse of yours finishes 2nd or 3rd. I appreciate this makes it difficult for those without many horses but hey, you should have done better And you never know...

I hope this isn't too complicated and it may be a bit daunting to those not familiar with the sport. However, I'll try and answer any questions. If any of your picks turn out to be non-runners, you can replace them with any other unpicked horse prior to the race taking part. If it is not replaced then I can't do much about it I'm afraid. It will go down as an act of God I know with it being a Saturday afternoon, many will be otherwise occupied (including me) so I appreciate this.

So now it is up to you in your teams to identify potential horses that you want in your squad. Are you a form person? Colours? Or will you use tactics to bombard a race with horses in an attempt to at least secure some points?

Use whatever information sources you want but http://www.racingpost.com/horses2/cards/home.sd?r_date=2015-09-12 might come in handy as a starting point.

No rush to start the selections but obviously we could do with having it done by close of play tomorrow evening.

As long as things get going soonish we should be fine. Shouldn't take too long as long as teams have some idea of where they're going to be heading with their selections.

But obviously the sooner the better...

A solid option for Kahn...the very likely favourite in a small field. I've heard from Tyson that they will be playing in that race as well!
