Crazy how us, wrexham and Chesterfield were 3 of the more fancied sides (we were favourites) and we're all right near the bottom. Very strange season. Hopefully we will kick on a bit now though. Results have improved under jim and tbh even with challinor performances by and large were much better than our league position suggested. Need to bring a few in, sort out danny Rowe and move away from the relegation places. As for Wrexham, are they doomed? I really dont know

no one is doomed yet - a few wins and it all changes - just look at Chorley who have 10 points from the last 4 games - or Barrow who were in the bottom 4 after 9 games and are now top by 3 points with a game in hand. There are 4 points between 2nd and 7th and 5 points between 8th and 16th. Wrexham do need to start winning sooner or later though.

Difference is relegation would be a calamity for Wrexham and Chesterfield, whereas Fylde would merely be on their way back to where they belong.:ds::£:£:£

Absolute horse shit. Been voted best player in this division past 2 seasons. Unbelievable footballer
So unbelievable, no Football League club offered to take him off your hands. Much to his own disbelief! :fl:

If we win at your place on the 8th you probably won't turn up.... but then again that might be off if we're still in the trophy.

I expect we'll go by coach to those games. It'll probably be when the snow comes!

Potentially worthy of a new thread but I’m shy so I’ll put it in here.

We finally have a new owner in local businessman Mark Stott. Club has been handed over debt free and while nothing has been confirmed (interview with new owner going to be on YouTube later) I have no doubt this will see go full-time again from next season and at the very least sort out a permanent training ground.

Hopefully everything goes well for you.

One note of caution - Mr Stott's business appears to be in property, and a quick Google suggests they are in the "student flats" business. Very similar to one S Day at Bury...

He's probably a decent and genuine guy, but I'd be happier for you if his business wasn't property...

Always some trepidation with a new owner and the board have turned away a number of chancers in the last couple of years. Let’s hope they have backed the right horse.

If we stayed as we were then it was going to be part-time set-up and mid-table in the National League at best year in year out.

If you can delay the positive good times until Monday I’d be most obliged. Thanks

Luckily(!) for County, the club don't own any property anyway. The ground is owned by the council

Shhh, don't tell the Harrogate twat.

Just out of interest, do you know how much rent you pay per month?
Think the deal is around £80k a year; the council paid ~£2m to Sale Loan Sharks for EP. Sounds cheap, I think that's 'cos the ground has an edict on it only allowing sporting use, or something.

Stott specifically mentions his medium-term aims of redeveloping three sides of EP, so that's one concern of mine (moving us to a dull out-of-town stadium) crossed out.
