Bowyer gone, maybe we can appoint someone who will encourage us to have more than one shot on target now.

Probably bring back McCall? Seems to be Bradfords go to option. As with us last season when didn’t replace Aspin until after the transfer window shut not the greatest timing when should have done it earlier.

He's well liked here for obvious reasons, he plays good football but has never got us over the line. I don't think he'll be back on this occasion.

Bad timing for Bradford, even if it was coming... sacking a manager just after the close of the window meaning they're now stuck with Bowyer's players.

A few decent managers out there may well be up for the job because they should still be getting into the playoffs at least. Seems tailor made for Warnock though, willing to drop down into L2, so he'll be delighted to take over a club of Bradford's size; the right sort of manager given that Bowyer didn't exactly assemble the sort of squad that Pep Tisdale could work with.

I suppose most managers wouldn’t mind being stuck with this squad of players, after all, it is one of the strongest squads in the league.

The quality of player we possess wasn’t the issue. The issue was holding good, technical players back because Bowyer is a tactical dinosaur.

Give the players freedom to play and confidence will flow.

Dancing in the streets of Bradford, our season starts here. Would imagine McCall till the end of the season? No one can be worse than Bowyer.

Surely if they were going to sack Bowyer they would have done so before he binned off Vaughan and Doyle and give the new fella chance to get a tune out of them. Appears as if Bowyer was kept on to take the flak for binning them and the new fella had no window to work with.

All very strange, but I’m glad he’s gone to keep their fans on board

I honestly couldn’t give a shite. If we start off strongly at the weekend, we’ll take some stopping.

It feels like everyone associated with the club has been unleashed. Let’s see what happens.

So, Bowyer going is the be all and end all? Why was he allowed to recruit what your fans describe as barrel scraping signings?

You’ve got to admit, although the decision is a correct one, the timing of it is weird.

What was we supposed to do, sack him before the window closed and potentially have loanees being recalled under managerial uncertainty.

I don’t know the answer. All I know is, Bowyer has held this squad back all season. Given we now know we had some bad apples in the camp and they have been shipped out, I think the signings in Jan makes the squad stronger. Doyle was never going to perform here, and Vaughan wanted out. Had we have kept them and brought a new manager in, would they have all of a sudden turn into world beaters? Shipping those two out needed to happen regardless of who was/is managing the club.

Neil Warnock was only talking on the radio about how he only has 12 to get to 1500 league games...Bradford until the end of the season would achieve that.

McCall now heavy favourite. Nolan’s odds shortening.

Getting the fans back onside is one of the clubs’ biggest challenges, so McCall coming back in would certainly aid that. McCall’s brand of football is easy on the eye, and had Billy Clarke slotted that 1v1 away against Millwall at Wembley, he’d probably still be here, but we’d be in the Championship, not League bastard Two. Oh, how things can change so quickly.

Announcement later today, the timing would suggest McCall rather than having longer discussions with an outsider bigger name.

Edit: He’s supposedly talking training this morning.

Enjoy if it's McCall going back to his spiritual home. we should never have sacked him in the first place.

Wilcox had a meeting with the chairman last night ahead of some Reserve cup tie, not been announced but expect he's going to be in charge for the rest of the season.

Usual rumours have started on Twitter.
Wilcox full time manager
Cheap option
No money for signings
Bring back Wharton

We'll see. These things normally come from those who think the club wouldn't function without them.

McCall confirmed, 18 month deal.
Would’ve been happier until the end of the season (then go from there). Pro’s - the football will improve, good coach. the players always comment how much he’s good to play for and the massive fan support behind him.
Con’s - we’ve been here before, twice, a Nathan Jones/Warnock (unlikely of course), have better CV’s.
In his first stint he made it too personal and blew a massive budget to finish like 8th? Last time his win percentage was one of the best we’ve had, lost the L1 PO final to an off side goal, never had us out of the PO’s season after when he was sacked and had to work under the crazy ex chairman that has single handedly crippled us, so under better conditions he could go one further.
I’m a lot more confident of securing a PO spot now, the recent negativity will on the whole go now it’s just in a year from now i wouldn’t guarantee he’ll still be here.
Also Exeter fans, what’s Nicky Law’s situation because no doubt McCall will be on to his go to man at the first opportunity.

Seems like a ‘safe’ option. Maybe someone with no Bradford connection and a fresh pair of eyes may have been a bolder appointment.

As with all appointments - time will tell.

From the outside seems a very lazy appointment. The fact it is 3rd time means he has been sacked twice .
However i see at 2-58 pm they have a scarves for Stuart thing. Cringe.

There’s far more to it than just that. You’re either choosing not to consider the facts, or you’re non-the wiser.

Do the research.
