There’s far more to it than just that. You’re either choosing not to consider the facts, or you’re non-the wiser.

Do the research.
Research says mutual consent and sacked
Mutual consent is dressing up a sacking as amicable

So you’ll have seen he was sacked by the mad ex-chairman after losing out in the L1 PO final to an offside goal in his first season back and never not being in the PO spots the year after.

Full house in Bradford on Saturday? We have less than 200 tickets left of our 2,670 allocation.

Expect around 18,000, potentially more due to the change in circumstances.

If you mean full with 7,000 empty seats, then yeah, full!

Confirmed that Wilcox will take charge of at least the next two games, if we win one I think he will get it until the end of the year.

Your highest gate of the season by some distance then, shows just what a big pull Ollie’s GTFC riding into town are. :bdick:

At a fans forum last week our chairman Nigel Travis said that before our Head Coach job was offered to Carl Fletcher, it was offered to a coach who was already managing a League Two side - Whom has very recently lost his job at said League Two club.

The coach turned down the role out of respect for his current club.

He didn't say it was Colin Calderwood, but we all know that it was.

Things could've been very, very different................

Sounds as if Simon Rusk will be appointed our new manager sometime next week. Me neither.

Brighton U23 coach, former Conference journeyman in his playing career, club going for the Nathan Jones approach. Impossible to say whether Rusk will be capable as a manager (well, Head Coach, ugh), but my feelings are that this sort of appointment is probably right given we are seemingly sticking with the same structure and personnel that served us throughout Calderwood and much of the Dunne and Derry reigns too. All 3 of those had some (traditional) managerial experience before that and all had their own issues making it work on and off the pitch, so in that sense, I get it.

As I said when Calderwood went, the problem was bigger than him and nothing else is going to change. Our first team coach and chief scout/head of football/whatever the fuck he is have been proven failures over numerous managerial tenures now, and the director of football is a proven lunatic who thinks everything and everyone is wonderful at what they do despite the burning mess around him. For that reason, I'm not optimistic.

Rusk might be a good coach, he might do a decent job, regardless of what that level of success on his part is I suspect he's going to be hindered quite significantly by everything else around him. Doesn't fill me with hope for next season.

Vince has never been swayed by what the South Stand say, especially since some want him out too lol.

Cooper won't be sacked because of fan pressure, it will only happen if he has lost the players/staff behind the scenes. Like Hockaday and Pennock did. How we react on Saturday will say a lot, play like we've given up and the clocks ticking.
I keep reading a lot about this 'South Stand'. What exactly is it? A group of middle aged men who want the old FGR back and have never taken to the change through the Vince years?

Paul Hurst has left.

Sounds like he's walked, don't blame him
Swann baffles me. We didn't know it at the time, but we dodged a bullet when he nearly joined our Board.

The Grimsby lot will be able to say more, but if you're wanting someone to take over, eventually steady the ship, change things around and put together a team who perform better than the individuals within it, then Hurst would probably be someone you'd turn to. Swann just has no patience.

How many managers is that now under Swann? 9 in 5 years or something?

Swann is a great owner for a team our size. He has invested a lot of money into this club and provided us with some great seasons. His decision making leaves a lot to be desired, he bows to the fans pressure a lot and we have a lot of idiots that support the club. However, give me him over Bury/Coventry/Charlton/Macclesfield's chairman anyday.

I was always a Hurst fan and still remain annoyed he left/was sacked (we still don't know what happened) but Hurst had his faults. He ostracized a lot of good quality players which meant we were leaving out fit players and having to make up the bench with u18s at times due to injuries. I think with time, Hurst would have got it right. However, it's clear that Hurst wanted a lot more money than Swann was preparing to give him and that's where they fell apart. The next managerial appointment is absolutely key.

No, a bunch of 20 something and younger lads who like to think they're the real fans and get involved in pathetic green Street impressions whenever we play Cheltenham.

The middle aged fans/ ex Barnfield/Rockwool Army lot (like me) that don't like the regime tend to just not come, or grit their teeth and moan about it down the pub.

Nailsworth is a nice place. Be a shame when you guys move to an M5 service station. Hopefully won't lead to an increase in drink driving offences, it's bad enough on the M5 in summer with all the clueless emmets in their caravans.

We have announced Russ Wilcox will take control until the end of the season.

Don't think we will win another game

Thought only the Cornish called them emmets. Don't you use grockles in Devon?

Westley gone, Alex Revell in charge... seems desperation now.

It was desperation to bring Westley back in the first place. I don't know how they can be so soundly run off the pitch, yet be so badly run on it. Was sacking Maamria 7 games a mistake? Was not appointing a proper new manager until December a mistake? Was appointing Westley a mistake? The answer is probably yes to all 3.

I admire Wallace's attempts to keep Stevenage up. Still got enough time, got Crawley away and Walsall at home next up. Couple of scabby wins and they are right back in it.

You mean paying a fee for a centre forward who scored one in six at National League level didn't work out for Stevenage? Poor Westley, he's so unlucky with transfers.

As bad as some of Westley's tactics and in-game decisions are, his last three managerial appointments at this level have come apart after absolutely dire January transfer business.

That should be the last we see of him as an EFL manager now.

probsbly similar to notts county last season.

Making the wrong appointments and then chopping and changing and bringing in another wrong decision is more down the incompetency at board level than anything else.

As said elsewhere, I can’t see anyone fro league 2 being sorry to see the back of westley or Stevenage

Feel like this comes as a relief to the other teams in the survival race. Though Westley's record this time around was hardly brilliant, he did get them a recent win, and his reputation has had fans of the other teams a little worried that he'll manage to shithouse their way to survival.

Me, I'm disappointed he won't be the one to take Stevenage down.

Not sure why anyone would feel this, he’s been terrible in his last 3 managerial posts.

He just worries people who are just above them in the league; you can be a bit prone to worry when you're not far off relegation... didn't have me worried in particular because they're so far behind, but I've heard a few people when he was appointed who were concerned that under Westley they would dig out a few results.

Although I agree Westley hasn't been great in his last couple of jobs, his record at Stevenage was decent in his two previous spells and I think Phill Wallace was trying to get a reaction from the players and the fans with an appointment that's worked before. Kind of like how Martin Allen always seem to do well at Barnet but nowhere else.

To be honest, I thought Stevenage would start to pick up a few results once he was appointed but I think they have accepted they are as good as relegated now.
