So, what do the Argies have up their sleeves now? They were underwhelming in their opener against Iceland, and now they have even more pressure on them.

They'll have to seriously up their game against a tricky Croatia side who swatted Nigeria aside whilst barely getting out of first gear.

Could be the best game of the group this one. Fancy Croatia to possibly pinch this one, unless Messi can conjure up some magic like he did 4 years ago.

Argentina / Sampaoli have already announced their side for tomorrow:

Caballero
Mercado, Otamendi, Tagliafico
Salvio, Enzo, Mascherano, Acuna
Messi, Meza
Aguero

Still no room for Dybala, Higuain, or Benega. Biglia, Rojo and De Maria dropped.

I’m fancying Croatia for this one. I can’t see Argentina winning, unless Messi really turns it on. They look disjointed and not a team

Lawrenson really is a fucking terrible commentator. How on earth has he managed to do it for so long?

Comedy of (defensive) errors. With neither team taking advantage. Terrible 30 minutes of football.

I've actually found it really entertaining how bad these teams have been. Argentina are going nowhere in this tournament. Would be surprised if Croatia do much either. Teams of individuals.

Not much Messi can do when everything around him is chaos.

It's an entertaining game, even if thats as said a comedy of errors! If either side can settle down and get some rhythm going they'll win.

Jeez the replay shows thats obviously a red card, wasn't sure in real time.

The only one doing an okish job defensively out there is Brosovic.

Caballero
Even Joe Hart wouldn't have managed that

Dreadful team, desperately hope Iceland go through now. Sampaoli is a good manager, but he was the wrong appointment for this squad. His system relies on pressing, which this squad doesn't have the energy or discipline for and width, which even the great attacking players in this system can't provide. They all love playing centrally or cutting inside. Weird appointment, despite his credentials.

No less than Croatia deserve, excellent strike. Argentina will be needing favours from other group games now.
