We’ll lose him at some point, but not to Notlob. Why go from a well run club with a loyal fan following in League 1, to one that is a basket case with no money in League 2?

Our CEO did his now normal afternoon chat on Radio Lincs and 12th September is being spoken about, which is also the latest date the season can be started if it's going to run at a normal schedule and including all the cups.

Later than that and it sounds like they'll have to knock a competition out, which I'm guessing will be the EFL Cup. The PL/Championship will probably need to start before that because of the Euro's.

Yes. He is very personable. At the beginning of the season we had an Open Day based around a practice session. There was a long queue with about 1,000 people and he made the effort to go down the line saying hello to everyone. Derek Adams would never had done anything like that - he would not even give us a wave.

Lowe set his stall out to be positive and attacking. And while it has not been quite as good as advertised I know we made the most chances, scored a lot, had at least 19 players score and our keeper had the highest number of clean sheets.

It took a long time to tell, and initially Lowe would not refine the one way he wanted to play. But once he did, we played a lot better. in a bizarre way the turning point was the abysmal failure against Exeter. He tweaked some more and after that we went on a good run. he did not sort out how to get the best out of Mayor, until March. He made a tweak in how he set Mayor up, and all of a us sudden I was purring at how balanced we looked. Meaow.

My reservation is that he believes in one way, and unless he mixes it up, we may get found out at league 1. But so far it has been an enjoyable journey.

I first saw him playing for Shrewsbury against us way back. I remember thinking I wish we had a player like him. Not long after he signed for us. I think he started with Burscough? He's not universally liked at Chester allegedly because he was close to Steven Vaughan (our owner) who eventually was the reason we were liquidated. Although one of our phoenix men and former directors has gone in print to say this is not true there are those who choose not to believe it.

The year we got relegated from L2 for a second time 2008/9 and we were putting in a bit of a fight despite the players probably not getting paid we were playing at Meadow lane at the business end of the season. We played well that day and went 2-0 up both scored by Ryan. They pulled one back and then our GK was stretchered off. Next thing Ryan's grabbed the gloves. We won that game 2-1 and Ryan was the reason. Love him.
