Can’t see us going up, and don’t think we’ll go down even if we don’t pick up any more points before the end of the season.

So here we are, comfortably in mid table, which actually makes a nice change this season.

Yeh, shut up WR, you should know that we are a pessimistic bunch.

I thought we might trip up tonight, and i can see you lot turning us over in a few weeks time.

Besides which, we still have to go to Rotherham, Sunderland and Coventry.

We're not in this thread just yet, do I tempt fate and start a promotion thread with us in?

Tbh it's nice not to be on the relegation thread.

It would be just my luck if by some ridiculous miracle, we a) managed to make the play offs and b) won them, as i am looking forward to away trips to at least 2 out of Swine, Exeter and Plymouth next season.

Thread appears to be Gillingham only. Reckon we are here, but a few more points in the next 2 or 3 games would be nice.

I think I can see we are happy to join our Kent friends in this thread, do I need to elbow our way in or is that too soon

You can come in if you let us have the three points on Saturday, deal?

Don't think??
Can't see even AFCW or Rochdale going down. We could have a 15pt deduction and still be safe.

But I agree, we are equally unlikely to make the play-offs (wink, wink).

If Gillingham are in this thread, then so are we.

We could still make it, but we've got too many airs and graces about us at the moment.

I don't think we're a serious mid-table champion contender though, sadly - this prestigious accolade of course going to the first team onto the beach that can neither get promoted nor relegated.

In the event of a tie, the team with the goal difference closest to zero wins - because for true mediocrity, your attack needs to be as bog-average as your defence.

The competition tends to be more fun when you have a massive glut of averageness and no-one really wants to get promoted or relegated - sadly the relegation dogfight looks like more of a foregone conclusion this season, but of course you never know.

In 100 years, Gillingham will be in either league one or two having never dropped into non-league or graced the Championship.

Comfiest tier 3/4 side going by my book

Wouldn't that be Rochdale? Unlike Gillingham who has been in the second division, Rochdale have spent their entire existence stuck in the third and fourth divisions.

5 seasons from 2000-2005 in fact. Had it not been for a late equaliser for Nottm Forest, there would have been a 6th.

Gillingham is an interesting club really, there is a massive non-league scene in Kent with some big non-league clubs (Dover, Maidstone) but only you guys in the football league. But then I always do think Medway is a bit different from the rest of Kent. I've been to Priestfield a couple of times but won't go again until you sort out that away end!

We are the only league team in Kent.
The problem we have is that most of Kent, Medway included, is only half an hour from London.
