I know. What the hell has gone on this season. How can you be favourites and get relegated. Astonishing
County managed that in 04-05 I think, finished the previous season strongly with new manager Sammy Mac, he was given money in the certainty of a promotion push, spent it all on a bunch of midgets and was sacked by November with us in the relegation places, from which we didn't recover.

Kings Lynn and York or Boston would be good additions for us, and specifically me.

Less enthused about the potential southern recruits.

Bath would be a good day out, if they’re allowed any more. Rather avoid yet another London team.

Played Bath loads over the years but have never been there. That would be the best of the southern ones for me too.

Bath is the best away day in the NLS. Old fashioned ground, decent fans and a brilliant drinking town (city).

I think King's Lynn might be up there in that category too and will certainly be an eye opener for many at NL level - we don't have any covered areas at either end so you are ahead of us in some areas. That said, I have just had a look at your ground on Google maps, I was worried about our floodlights but looks like you will also have concerns in there.

Big away followings last year caused some issues and we moved the area for away fans mid season but big gates vs Boston and York following the change showed what we had was still pretty inadequate for a big gate at step 2, let alone step 1. For segregated games the bar area was off limits and although it was spruced up last off season really isn't anything to write home about.

Maybe if it's home fans only (when fans are actually allowed to attend) it won't be as much of an issue for either of us?

Our floodlights have been upgraded to NL standard but they do look like little sticks in the air .

Congratulations on your promotion(coming from a Barnet fan) It will be good to renew our rivalary on the pitch, but not on the terraces as in the past and a generation has moved on now. A lot has been documented about PEPF which basically boils down to a project you couldn't in the end afford, and Harrow council knowing Barnet needed a new site, offered them it to stop it laying derelict and prevent the Gypsy's from taking up residence. Your fan base is growing while ours is decreasing, and unless our fortunes improve greatly, along with club/customer relations, you will have the bragging rights shortly. Look forward to seeing you at the Hive, and hope you enjoy the best away end for fans in non league football.

Re PEPF, the stadium developer went bust and we did join together with The Playing Fields Association who had plenty of cash to complete the site but Harrow Council went with Barnet.

That said, I’d rather be in HA4 than HA7. The demographics are nto conducive to football in Canons Park.

Yeah, I imagine Weymouth is alright as well. Not so sure about Slough, is Chasers still going?

Is Bath still Twerton Park or am I way out of date?

We've already played Bath City at this level in 2011/12 season. It's just sad.

Bath and Weymouth are great away days and are proper clubs with decent attendances.

I don't want Havant back, but they're a much better side now under Doswell than the team that went down last season and they'll probably be fine at this level this time.

Slough is a dour away day and their council built ground feels like an extension to the secondary school next door, but their joint managers have done a remarkable job on a budget that should have seen them in a relegation battle. They will have a very tough time at this level but won't disgrace themselves.

Dartford are just meh, did nothing at this level a few years back and won't do anything if they come up, their ground is pretty cool though.

Dorking are tinpot and bankrolled but attract decent attendances.

We will surprise a few in how many we take away, compared to our average home attendance.

Looking forward to it, UTS.

I'll hold my hands up and say I was very surprised with how many you brought to Southport for an early round FA Trophy tie in the middle of January a few years ago. No-one wants to go to Southport in January! It was a better following than other London-based non-league stalwarts such as Welling, Dartford, Hayes, Bromley, Boreham Wood, Dagenham & Redbridge, Barnet and Woking have ever bothered bringing.

Looks like they’ve relegated Stevenage, suddenly the play-offs matter even more.

They're still very much based at Twerton Park, Bath and North East Somerset Council rejected a proposal put forward by the club earlier on this year which would have seen a 4G pitch installed and their main stand knocked down and replaced by an all-seater structure which went the whole side of the pitch.

247, it's really sad that I remember that. You've got to bear in mind that we hadn't been to a proper trip up north since 1988 so in my case, never. It was also a new ground for most and the Trophy is still an important competition to the majority of our supporters.

On awaydays from the South - Bath is an awesome away day all year round, Weymouth we had on the August Bank Holiday Monday last season and it was a belter, did a weekender and I didn't realise just how many pubs there were by the harbour. Proper fish and chips, plenty of arcades on the seafront and the Bob Lucas Stadium is a great setup. I'm not sure it would have the same charm in the winter however.

Dartford, Havant, Slough - meh, all decent stadiums for that level but not much to do beforehand if that's your thing. Dorking I was plastered by FT having been drinking early morning during the Rugby World Cup final so I'll reserve judgement. There were a few pubs on the high street and whilst Meadowbank was quite compact, they've undertaken plenty of groundworks to get the ground up to NL standard.

On the North - well I just want anyone other than Brackley who are bound to be the club that go up. They've turned us over 3 times in the past 4 years and I want to go to another proper Northern club rather than Northamptonshire. Alty, Boston or Gateshead would be re-acquainting rivalries from our last time in the Conference.

Stevenage coming down is hilarious, Phil Wallace tried his damned best to ensure Macclesfield were relegated. Just about as local as I could get so that's one I'm hoping is on a Tuesday night.

Can everyone please stop saying Bath or Weymouth would be good clubs to be promoted, we hate both with a passion (particularly the muff) and it would the shittest thing ever to be in the same league as them again after all these years.

Was it Weymouth that Grahem Roberts the old Spurs player played for before joining them?

We've were in the NL (and NLN) that long that we have already played Weymouth, Bath, Altrincham, Boston, Chester, Havant, York, Wealdstone, Slough and Dartford at this level before - but won't next season.

I was never concerned about the league above. It's all about whether the playoffs go ahead in the north and south

I can't see them not going ahead unless we have a second spike in the next month.

Big blow for us. We've just announced Devante Rodney won't be playing for us in the playoffs as he's close to joining another club. I'd write our chances off significantly now

You've missed us off in this. Won our last 2 and still had to play chorley, maidenhead and ebbsfleet. In fact the more I think about it. We've been fucking robbed. 3 behind ebbsfleet with 2 games in hand.
You had the exact same 6 match form as us so I couldn't realistically give you a mention.

You had one of the best sides on paper in the league and a lot of backing from your owner yet still went down. You haven't been robbed of anything.

If York come up, they are far more deserving of a national league spot than you.

Glad to see you back at the top tier of non-league. It's been a hard slog and you've absolutely earned it by keeping your club going and rebuilding from some very low points.

I'm not a hive fan, to me it's like visiting a different club. Even more so if this weeks planning application goes through.

Did I read correctly that South Shields now have a £200k legal bill after their challenge to the FA over the null and void of their league?
