Genuinely have no clue how I won that. To rub it in for Watford, we scored the winner in the 92nd minute.

Tight title race. I doubt we'll win the whole thing but my main aim is promotion. We just lost away to River 3-0 though, thankfully that's hardest match out of the way. Still have some tough ones like Sport Colombia away but for the most part, the tough ones are out of the way. Like last season, a bad run kinda screwed us over here.

Hosting Deportivo Caacupe next. Should win this.

And I won that 4-1. Had a scare when they scored first but after that it was all us.

2 points behind 1st now!

I love the conference, currently have 9 loanees, most of whom I'm paying fuck all for, I've improved the projected balance at the club from around -£1,600,000 to -£730,000, and I'm still trying to ship out players for fuck all to improve the situation.

Got so so lucky last match of the season.

Here is how the table ended.

Basically, I needed to win last match of the season. Tacuary had to lose and General Diaz couldn't win. These were the results.

Very much improved this, won the FA Trophy, got beaten by Leicester 3-0 in the FA Cup 3rd round, won the FA Trophy, finished 3rd in the Conference, lost my first game as Cheltenham boss and was unbeaten (other than Leicester) until the last game of the season proper, losing 2-1 to Bristol Rovers once Play-offs were confirmed anyway and playing the reserves. In the playoffs we faced Gateshead who Cheltenham hadn't lost against in 4 games, winning 3. Won the first leg away 2-1, took them back home and drew 2-2 to see us through to the final against 2nd placed Grimsby.

Grimsby took an early lead, Karl Collier smashing in a 3rd minute goal, Colby Bishop decided this wasn't good enough and whacked in an equaliser after 17 minutes. This was not enough for Bishop however, as he put Cheltenham in the lead in the 27th minute, 2-1 to 3rd placed Cheltenham. Jonathan Flatt, Cheltenham's keeper had other ideas though, not wanting to make things too easy as he slapped the ball into his own net after 37 minutes. So, half time and it's 2-2, anyone's game and looking like a great game. Cheltenham came out firing in the second half and Corie Andrews scored 8 minutes into the second half. Not much went on following this, until the 88th minute when Grimsby had the ball in the net, the fans go mad, I am ready to throw my laptop across the room, but no! Offside! Cheltenham hold out for the remaining 2 minutes, plus 3 mins added time to secure promotion back to League 2 at the second attempt!

Not bad considering they were 21st when I took over! Also the finances after my FA Cup run, FA Trophy win and fantastic form in the Conference has boosted the budget to £66,215 in the black!!!! Projected balance is £159k... IN THE BLACK!

Awaiting my budgets for the following season however, as the board decided to set them before the play-offs and cut the wage bill further (I've already cut over £2k per week off it), meaning I'm over spending again. Most of the squad is out of contract, however most are shit, the loanees got us promoted, not the permanent players. Due to the budgets being set before we'd even started the play offs I expect it to rise a little, otherwise fuck knows how I'm surviving League 2 with a 12k wage budget and no money to spend.

I'll be really pissed off if you do well in your first season!

I found it difficult to sign anyone half decent and it was made worst when I thought I'd be able to and sacked most of the squad off. Have you put yourself as an ex-international footballer?

Yeah, I gave myself the coaching badges and stuff too as I found it a right load of hassle last time when playing as Crewe... Just for the record, we're top after 5 games Won 4 Drew 1 Scoring 7 and conceding 3.

Think we're just carrying momentum from last season mind you, I only have 26 players in the whole squad, no U21's, no U18's (none were worth the time, I signed one Youth Candidate out of the lot and I am blooding him into the first team, and released everyone else), and 7 of those are loanees.

That's why my Lincoln save went so poorly I think. I started as a Sunday League footballer with nothing, which is probably why I couldn't sign anyone decent. The progress was just far too slow doing it that was.

I deleted that one, so I might start a new one up with Lincoln with better qualifications/experience.

'Only' 26 players?! I usually run a first team squad of 19-21 and some of those are loans.

It's alright, I've just lost 4 in a row before finally winning at 23rd placed Bury. And we made that fucking difficult.

Christ I can't cope with a tiny squad like that, I normally have a first team of about 30 players and a load of reserves and the likes.

How on earth do you keep 30 players happy?!

Need a smaller squad with the budgets at that level and you can stretch and get a few better players. Frees up for another coach, too. Scrap the U21's at the first opportunity as well.

I do a lot of rotation, and I have no under 21's, or under 18's at the moment, waste of cash for me, especially since I'm rescuing them from financial oblivion.

Opposite to me then. I have a set XI and only generally change if needed.

I like the rescuing/turnaround career, though. Think I'm going to set-up another Lincoln game, see how I get on with that with the pre-game tweaks i.e. qualifications and if I get somewhere with that, then move onto that kind of career game.

I'm waiting for the Walsall job to pop up to be honest want to lead them to European powerhouses again, but in the meantime I'll do what I can with Cheltenham.

Consider Cheltenham abandoned, got a new PC. Took over at Walsall, very solid start including a 3-1 victory over Reading in the League Cup. Very tight at the top of the table, but I'm very much in the race. Bradshaw is a god, that 3-1 victory over Reading came courtesy of a hat-trick from him!

Started a new save, which hopefully I will stick too, doing a 'dafuge challenge' with by beloved Kingstonian FC. I will be Blogging it on Wordpress (until I get bored of doing that) & I've typed up an introduction which you can get at by clicking on this interweb connection:

https://kingstontilidie.wordpress.com/2016/03/13/kingstonian-me-dafuge/

I'll post my updates on here for you all to laugh at how crap I am doing but also I've set up a Facebook page to post updates on & will be updating via Tifo - the football manager social media site on my handle @Kingstonian.

Into my fifth season with HK, just relying on youth players I.E. not making any signings, even loans. Produced some good prospects but i've yet to have a decent striker come through so i've been relying on two average ones who I normally would have binned off by now.

Been churning out good centre backs although they get poached pretty quickly, sold three so far to Norwegian/ Swedish clubs for a combined £800k.

First season: 4th placed finish in Division One.
Second season: 2nd placed finish in Division One (promotion), losing in the Upper League Cup Final to Valur.
Third season: 3rd placed finish in the Premier League (qualifying for the Euro Cup) and won the Icelandic Cup against KR.
Fourth season: Finished 6th in the Premier League and lost in the Icelandic Cup to Valur (Twats). Beat Debrecen and Domizale in the Euro Cup qualifiers but got smashed 8-2 on aggregate by Lille in the First Round.

I started a new game with Spurs after their Board seem to want to go down the line that I generally do as a manager i.e. developing young players. They've also got the Stadium move although quite a few bank loans.

I'm in the January transfer window but I only signed one player, a striker, and that was back in August. The squad is on the large side but generally of an ok quality (well, first XI are) but I'd rather wait until the summer because anyone half decent isn't really affordable for me at the minute. Sold Chadli and Townsend back in August and I'll shift a few more on the in the summer.

Currently 4th and still in the FA Cup and Europa League.

Well, first season at Walsall is over, and what a fucking season it was!

To start, here are my transfers:

Transfers_ Transfer History.png

Best of that bunch was Ismail by far, 46(5) appearances, scored 13, assisted 12 and a rating of 7.10 overall, worst would go to Neil Collins, should have known he was shit when Sheff Utd were giving him away ffs.

Start off with league performance, and I don't think I've ever had a title race this tight before, never needed that many points to win a bloody title! Draw after draw was our problem as you can see, the third loss came on the last day after we secured the title with a game to spare.

Sky Bet League 1_ Overview Stages-2.png

Had some fantastic cup runs too, one of which culminated in this...

Johnstone's Paint Trophy_ Overview Profile.png

Lovely. The trophy was barely in doubt as we faced very little resistance on our way to the title.

Schedule_ Senior Fixtures-2.png

Sheff Utd put up a fight once they were already beaten, but hey ho!

League Cup next, and this was decent with a nice upset in there..

Schedule_ Senior Fixtures-4.png

Not bad, could have done better against City really, silly goals to concede, but can't complain at that performance against soon to be champions of England.

The FA Cup also went rather well.

Schedule_ Senior Fixtures.png

The Chelsea game though, we just bottled it, went 4-0 down within half hour, and it's game over, could, and probably should, have scored at least a couple to make it more respectable, but once again, losing to a PL team and going out isn't exactly bad, especially after we knocked another PL team out!

All of this on by far the lowest budget in League One, the batterings I gave Sheff Utd looking really bad here...

Sky Bet League 1_ Stats Team.png

Our finances are flying too, should hopefully have a good go of it in the Championship, want promotion within 3ish seasons though, next season is purely a case of survive though.

Finances_ Finances Summary.png

On to next season!!

TL;DR version:

League One: Champions (W26 D17 L3)
Paint Pot: Champions (3-0 Portsmouth)
FA Cup: 6th Round (0-4 Chelsea)
League Cup: 4th Round (2-4 Man City)

Started a save the other week with FC United of Manchester and just finished my first season. My ambitious objective is to make them compete with the other two Manchester clubs, but I know that within a few seasons I'll get another offer and end up jumping ship.

In summary, it wasn't really a great first season. I started the campaign like a house on fire, picking up 10 wins in my first 13 games, but somewhat went off the boil later in the season and ended up limping to 4th place, 16 points behind eventual winners Boston.

As previously mentioned, I didn't go into the POs in fantastic form and came up against North Ferriby who had been in and around the top five all season. To my surprise, I won both legs 2-1 and found myself in the PO final against Solihull Moors; the team that trounced me 3-0 on my own patch on the final day to sneak into the POs on GD. Unfortunately for me, history repeated itself and after a dominant first half I went in 1-0 down somehow, and as I pushed on later in the game in search of an equaliser I got picked off and ended up losing 2-0.

Two of my key players who are far too good for this level won't be signing new deals, so this season is potentially harder than the last with having to replace those. The majority of my signings did fantastically well, and with the limited budget that I do have I'll be looking to bring in some freebies in the summer. I scouted about 1,000 free agents last season and ended up finding about three that were good enough to sign.

I'll leave you with my transfer summary from last season, and the league table. This coming season is certainly going to be just as hard as last, but with most of the players being OOC it's a chance for me to build my own squad and have a proper go at the automatic promotion spot.
