Should be a good one, this.

Both teams are strong defensively, but whereas we're have one of the best attacks, they have one of the worst. Is that because Tisdale sets MK up like that? Or creating and just wasteful?

Wilson will probably drop out, allowing Eardley to come back in and this is the second of Freckington's three game ban.

Team will more than likely be:

Smith

Eardley
Bostwick
Shackell
Toffollo

O'Connor
Pett

Anderson
McCartan
Andrade

Akinde

Would still prefer Bostwick in midfield and get Wharton back partnering Shackle when fit, but I think DC sees things differently!

As Luke says it's an intriguing game on paper and quite a hard one to call. Three home defeats on the trot in all competitions would be a first under the Cowleys so hopefully we can consolidate our lead at the top, though it will no doubt be a tough game.

Our scoring record is terrible. Cows arse and banjo spring to mind. Still, at least Tisdale stopped the rot we were in. We should be scoring more and as I said in another thread, we mustn't lose touch with the leaders because by just drawing what seems all the time that will happen.

However at some time it should 'click' . Mind you, Notts County supporters have been saying that as well

I'm hoping for a draw but I have a feeling this will be our first league loss.

We'll have to play a lot better than the last home game!
Had lots of chances last week but came up against a very inform keeper.
Press conference soon so hopefully we'll find out who is or isn't fit .

Biggest game of the season so far for both teams. We're still unbeaten, but feel this will be our toughest test yet and won't be surprised if we suffer our first defeat of the season against a good Lincoln side.

Feel we have the best defence in the league (and statistically the joint-3rd best in England), but it just hasn't happened for us at the other end of the pitch. A lot of this is down to our top scorer from last season only just coming back from injury (although he has scored 3 in his first 2 games back), and lacking any real pedigree up front. This is an area that Lincoln excel in.

Will be a very physical game, and another close one but feel Lincoln might just edge us.

Prediction: Lincoln 1-0 MK

Vickers and Eardley back in training and Vickers even played 75 minutes in a practice game so only Habergham and Frecklinton are out for us.
Just sent Luque out on loan to Bromley.

Oh look, a "real" football fan!

Mate, it's been a decade since we last played you, let us let it out. Your lot are an aberration, a black mark on the soul of English football. Just like us when we shamefully won the Checkatrade Trophy last season.

Hoping for a good game, Tisdale always has us figured out and that might negate the home advantage - we've been dangerously average on a few occasions this season, so we need to step up like we did vs Exeter.

Of course, the big news ahead of this game is that we've changed the colour of the names and numbers from black to white because you can't see the former on the shirts.

Woof, watched that one on iFollow. Thought we looked very good, MK could not deal with our wingers. We weren't making any chances from that and it had that feeling of whoever scored next wins. MK's goal was nice, tight corner, we were caught on the break. Came back a little later with Akinde setting up McCartan for a thunderbastard of a strike inside the area, top corner.

Then we kept going at them, get a corner at the end, Shackell pops up and scores.

Maybe had a couple of decisions going our way MK twitter claimed that there may have been a foul on the keeper for the winner, and I couldn't tell if the disallowed goal for them was offside either.

Delighted with this win. The Franchise are and will continue to be a stain on English football. If there’s any justice they’ll get relegated out of the league and/or go bust.

That was a very good football match with a fantastic ending and a deserved victory. The lancaster flyover just after MK Dons scored got the crowd going which pushed us on. MK were the best side we've played this season so delighted to come away with 3 points.

Really good game of football. I would have been gutted if we had loss. A home win probably just about the fair result. We were dominant in terms of possession and pressure but MK defended very well and limited us to very little chances. Conversely they had little of the ball but looked dangerous. I was surprised at how dirty MK were, some real nasty tackles flying in.

MK dons got the goal against the run of play, very tidy finish, but you’re always looking at how we could have defended that better. Felt like it was going to be one of those days where the ball wouldn’t bounce kindly for, thankfully one dropped nicely for MCartan who smashed it in - ‘keeper didn’t even move. Mainly lincoln till the end of the match apart from MK’s goal that was ruled out for offside, which I wasn’t sure was the right decision or not. Then last minute; arise League 2’s highest rated player on FIFA (apparently) to head in from or umpteenth corner of the game. Cue scenes of jubilation.

Great league 2 game, even treated to a fly over from a Lancaster bomber (just after they scored funnily not enough). Top days to be a lincoln fan.

What a game that was. Two really good sides there.

Brilliant effort from us with being completely outnumbered in midfield for most of the game, 5 vs 2 at times, but Bostwick and in particular Shackell were absolute rocks at the back, especially when you consider that Toffolo gallops down the left wing all game and leaves lots of space and Pett and O'Connor covered every blade of grass. Pett offers similar levels of energy that Woodyard had.

Two games within one as the first hour were two fully committed teams being really physical, breaking the play up (as shown by MK's 5 yellows) but playing a bit as well. Then Tisdale opened the game up on the hour, abandoning the 5-4-1 come 5-3-2, took a defender off, threw Agard on and went 4-3-3, which really opened the game up and the final 30 minutes felt end to end.

First half, both sides had a presentable chance each. McCartan's bicycle kick and Vickers, making a welcome return go the side, pulls off a great save low down.

The second half didn't get going until MK scored, which was pretty much straight after they changed their system IIRC. Really, really tight angle, through the 'keeper's legs.

Wonderful hit from McCartan into the opposite top corner from an Akinde knock down and just as you think we're getting a draw, Shackell pops up with a winner with what was basically the last kick (head) of the game with 5 seconds to go.

MK are a good side, probably the best we've faced at SB since we returned to the FL. Three passes and they go from one box to the other but you can see why they don't score too many. They don't really have a focal point to their attack - Tisdale doesn't have Stockley. Lots of similar types of players. They tried two extremely tall strikers up there today but neither looked comfortable doing what they were being asked to do. Looked far better with Agard up front.

Mention to Stuart Atwell as well. You can't half tell when you have a PL or higher FL ref.

As for the Lancaster banking in and over the Stadium - what a moment that was. We could see it for a minute or so as it came in over the City and then a hard left and it was coming over. That happened as MK Dons were celebrating their goal so it was brilliantly timed! I'm sure they'll be footage of that somewhere and that lifted an already good atmosphere.

Two good sides, both going for the win. Have to say I think a draw would have been the fairest result, but as with our last two league games we just can't hold out for all 3 points.

Lincoln have what we are missing - a decent front line, clinical and physical. Feel like over the season so far our defence has been one of the best in the league, as has our midfield, but if we had Lincoln's strikers we would definitely be up there.

I'm confident we will still be up there at the end of the season, but we really need to take a page out of Lincoln's book when it comes to signing attacking players - we strengthened defensively, but neglected to bring in a decent striker for this level.

Great atmosphere, thought Lincoln's fans were noisy, best so far this season and would put some L1 grounds to shame (including ours!).

Opposition fan not moaning after we beat them got to be a first!

Reading some posts about our ground and the signage and away coach organisation on the MK forum, they thought Lincoln were very non league in terms of set up!

It's a good jobs the players and the fans make up for non league-esgue nature of us being Lincoln City.

There forum gave me the best laugh of the night- the coach company bringing their away fans didn't bother to contact the club to ask where they park, didn't know where they were going, didn't bother to do any pre arrival recce of the ground location......and it's all our fault they got lost in the back streets of Sinny Bank.

Priceless.

Oh dear. When are we going to stop conceding at the last moment. I wasn't there so can't comment on the match, you don't see enough to get any idea on the TV. However if we don't start scoring we are going to be mid table. Defence can only do so much.

Hey ho, onward and upward!

The YouTube video highlights are up now
Could be argued the keeper was blocked off for our winner.
Pretty even game

I think we use the grey patch to our advantage because you can’t really punish a player for standing his ground.

I am sure that siren belting out when they took the last corner must surely put the defenders off, it shouldn't be allowed.

Indeed we did something similar for the winning goal from a corner last week, as you say just standing in the keeper's way without fouling him.

Did only put them off for the winning corner? Or was that the only corner lincoln add?
Had 12 corners, had a couple of others where we went close but generally our ball from set pieces was poor but strangly both our goals came from set pieces we just wasted loads, the manager mentioned as much post match.
