Second time we’ve travelled to this one and called off, seriously time to start docking points etc. No chance of this game being played until April now, pathetic. Call it off earlier it rained once in 24 hours, tinpot.

Yep let’s follow that really commonly seen precedent of docking points.

You’re acting like you’re the ones worse off in this situation. Calm yourself down, this is a huge overreaction.

Disgrace that is. Calling the match off less than an hour from kick-off.

This is what you get with these tinpot outfits though sadly.

They’ve also been saying it’s been on all afternoon, people have been here since 3 and there’s been nothing more than a shower since then.

There needs to be some kind of way of dealing with this. Once can happen, but Fylde and Barnet haven’t just done this before but within the last few weeks.

Again - why do you think these postponements are in any way our choice? ‘Haven’t just don’t this before’ - it is the referees call.

Our club (chairman) has a huge amount to answer for. And believe me this is way more frustrating for us than any other club. But the club has not been able to control this for a long time now. There is no quick fix or easy way out of this. It’s unfortunate and entirely our own doing (coupled with awful luck with the weather) but there is no alternative way out of this that is a short or quick measure.

Tell that to our fans who have taken days off or half days to get to this game for it to be called off, again!

Barnet now blaming the ref I see, same ref that called off the other 6-7 games before this probably not. Time your crap club took some responsibility for this ongoing farce and stopped blaming everyone else.

Tinpot!

Why would anyone take half a day off let alone a whole day off for Dagenham vs Barnet??!!

Someone tell him about Braintree, Newport and Gateshead.

So yet again then (as you seem to not read posts properly) - I feel entirely for your fans and can promise you that our fans are now 6-7 times worse off than any of you. However pissed off you are, multiply that and then reconsider how you're posting.

We are blaming the ref because it literally IS the referee that made this poor call. There has been very little rain and the pitch is entirely playable - he postponed it out of fear of an adverse weather forecast that does not exist. We are blaming the referee because it is literally their decision to make - who else is there to blame for the decision tonight?!

Agree that the club needs to take responsibility - something that I've now said a record 6 times on this forum recently and something that again you seem incapable of noticing :)

Van drivers that can’t take half days? Many jobs don’t allow half days holidays, including those on shifts like NHS workers.

We’ve still got to go to Fylde and Barnet, and might get one of them in the Trophy semi-final..

I can’t see Saturday’s game being on either. Or next Tuesday.

Not sure where that leaves us now but we’re probably going to struggle to fit our home games in, even if we lose to Halesowen.

If we knew what was going on with the pitch and what the plan was to put this right (short, medium and long term) we might be more understanding. Without any information at all, it’s becoming rather shameful and embarrassing.

You’re forgetting one thing it’s your pitch and it’s poorly maintained etc, no one else but yourselves to blame. Like I said any chance of it being called off should have been made this morning, we all knew some heavy downpours were due so blaming the ref is weak and deflecting blame.

I notice evert time you calm a game off you post a picture of your floodlights during a downpour but it wasn’t even raining, clever.

Your fans are obviously blameless. Tinpot club.

The referee calls the game off, not the club.

Not sure what steps the club could have taken tonight.

However, allowing whatever the root cause might be to get to this point is the clubs responsibility. And the poor communication and lack of any explanation has been appalling.

Yeah, I forgot it's our poorly maintained pitch. Right. Silly me.

The pitch was fine. The downpours scheduled for the area were not downpours (check any reputable met office based website for this). Of course we got ourselves into this situation and are not helping ourselves, but you are being overly emotional (or trolling) to refuse to acknowledge that the referee is literally the only person responsible for calling a match off.

Feel free to continue from here on in but this is pointless, so I'm out. Feel free to continue your little tantrum - let me know in the morning when you've calmed down a little. :)

Maybe if people read it from you as well they may start to understand...

Agreed our communication has been shocking. HOWEVER you would be surprised (or not, actually) to learn how many of our statements etc are written by the chairman, rather than the comms team themselves.

Fylde were quiet this afternoon about the thirty foot stretch of pitch, covered by tarpaulin and traffic cones, that is literally just sand. If it’s not playable tonight, they’re going to really struggle to get games on for the rest of the season now you’d think.

Why would anyone need to take any time off? You’re going across London, not to Barrow!

You haven't got that many fans anyway. So probably both might have been inconvenienced but that is part and parcel of following a crap club. It was our crap club that saved you from going under, so you should be grateful to us that you still have a club to follow.

Well there's only 2 potential Tuesdays before the end of the season.
24th March and 21st April, the week before the last game of the season.
IF we progress on Saturday that means 2 more midweek games with no where to put them!

Gonna be Barnet's future anyway.
