Most difficult game of the season over with and we got ourselves a share of the spoils, the five teams we have to play at home we should beat comfortably, a few tricky away games, but if we beat Solihull Tuesday I think we'll make the playoffs.

Other results weren’t great for us but would’ve taken the point before kick off. Could do with a result at Solihull. As long as it’s only a few points off now the tougher games are done then still in with a shout.

Aye, feel like anything but a win will put a big dent in our chances if not end them completely, a lot of teams above us still have games in hand over us and are eventually gonna pull away.

After today, I am fearing the worst for Tuesday night.

Would be typical of Barnet to ruin our entire season in the space of a few days with home defeats to Halesowen and Boreham Wood...

Let's hope so.

Farcical weather to play football in, actually thought Barrow were better at our ground than today, second half was a farce with the weather gave us no chance to do anything had it been dry I think we would have had a better chance of getting something From the game, the ref missing two pens for us didn’t help, bottler.

You’ll go up which is good news as I won’t have to visit again just too long a journey and a queue to get in which ended up with the bloke just putting his foot on the turnstile and letting everyone in for nothing as his little scanner didn’t work. An open terrace with no crush barriers that will only end up in tears when some proper support turns up in league two.

Agree.
It's not sour grapes, as Barrow deserve to win the league, but the ground is shocking.

It was confirmed yesterday that we've met EFL criteria.

I agree it's a dump, but I'd pick our ground over the likes of Salford's any day.

Decent win for us, hopefully the start of another run. Wrexham were pretty poor on the day. Our first goal is probably the strangest I’ve ever seen. Keeper has the ball in his hands, Duffus is standing on the edge of the penalty area, keeper drops the ball at his feet saying he’s been fouled or impeded and duffus taps into the empty net. I dont think there was anything wrong with it but a foul would usually given. However If I was a Wrexham fan I’d be pretty pissed off!

Nothing wrong with the goal at all for me, Lainton was just very dumb and should have just moved to the side or waited. I'm assuming he had been standing there a few times before that as well and Lainton tried to prove a point to the ref. We are garbage and would have lost anyway.

AFC Fylde (22nd) v Notts County (10th)
Barnet (13th) v Boreham Wood (4th)
Chesterfield (21st) v Harrogate (2nd)
Chorley (24th) v Eastleigh (18th)
FC Halifax Town (5th) v Sutton United (15th)
Solihull Moors (6th) v Hartlepool United (11th)

some big games due Tuesday for varying reasons;-

AFC Fylde v Notts;-
AFC Fylde are desperate for points to close up on Chesterfield in 21st, whilst Notts need the win to get back in a play off spot. On paper Notts should win, but they have an awful record away at lower teams. IF the game is on this will be a very hard game to call. Prediction 1-1 draw.

Chesterfield v Harrogate;-
Chesterfield are much improved under Pemberton, but are still in the bottom 4, but Harrogate need the win to close up the 8 points gap to Barrow at the top. Harrogate won't have been helped by having to play 120 minutes against AFC Fylde on Saturday. A point takes Chesterfield out of the bottom 4, but a point is really no good for Harrogate. Tight game - but my prediction is 2-1 to Harrogate.

elsewhere the easiest prediction is Barnet v Boreham Wood (postponed water logged pitch).
Chorley are gone, but might get a point against Eastleigh.
Solihull v Hartlepool - another tough one - both teams need to win, so a draw is the obvious result.
Halifax v Sutton. It's a long old trip for Sutton midweek and they are now realistically safe baring a horrendous dip in form. Halifax can go 3rd with a win. I don't want to curse Halifax by predicting they'll win - so 1-1 draw.

Looking at the weather forecast, I’m pretty confident that our match against B’wood on Tuesday will go ahead

The pitch looked awful against Halesowen.

Think we’ll do really well to pick up anything from Boreham Wood in what will probably be a scrap.

It would be a good time to end our ridiculous hoodoo against the shit teams on Tuesday, but to be honest I'm far more confident going to Barrow next week.

Important game, though - a win would put us back up to sixth with games on hand on pretty much everyone still, anything else and the pressure is really back on us.

We need the win. Fylde are due a win, Jim Bentley regularly beat us when at Morecambe and I'm not at all confident of the win.
Crawford should be starting this, he's better than Doyle and Rose. But he won't.
Any team fancying a creative midfielder should come in for him as I'm pretty sure Ardley would let him go and he's going to get better with games under his belt.

Not sure Fylde are due a win.
Seems Notts co fans go through every player who should be in or out of the team. Perhaps their squad is too big?
Notts should win because Fylde aren’t any good.

Not really, if everyone is fit our team pretty much picks itself apart from CM and the occasional rotation of a strike partner for Kyle Wootton

I'm guessing CM is partly because Doyle is suspended so much too...

Without checking the rules, I'm fairly sure that should have been a free kick.

Obstruction?

He’s put him off a bit by flicking his leg out but I’m happy with it to be honest, I wouldn’t want it disallowed if it was for us.

Something had obviously gone on previously with the player standing in the vicinity of him for him to do this and try to prove a point. Lainton is a quality keeper for this level, it is unusual for him to be so stupid.

"prevents the goalkeeper from releasing the ball from the hands or kicks or attempts to kick the ball when the goalkeeper is in the process of releasing it "

"A goalkeeper cannot be challenged by an opponent when in control of the ball with the hand(s). "

Definitely should have been an indirect free kick. Arguably also a booking for unsporting conduct.

From looking at it a few times the only thing I can think is that Lainton thinks he's going to kick Duffus leg so he moves his leg out of the way midswing probably to avoid injuring himself or Duffus. Probably should've been disallowed.

He doesn't challenge him or prevent him from releasing the ball. Even with the tiny flick out of the foot Duffus was still a good couple of feet away. Perfectly good goal.

Duffus quite clearly dummied to kick out at the ball during the drop kick motion. I can't see how that is not an obvious obstruction given the above rules.

Very fortunate not to have been pulled back in my view.

The ref and most of the Wrexham fans agreed it was a goal so i'll go with them on this one.

I’m split on this, I think my anger would be 70:30 towards the keeper and then the ref for not giving it, keeper could very easily step a foot or two to his left, could run to his right around him then take the kick, Duffus is employing a level of shithousery obv by feigning a flick out of the foot and the keeper is naive, non league refs struggle with the simplest of decisions like pointing the right way never mind something a bit more complex.

Duffus has had to up his shithousing game now he's our 1st choice centre-forward for the rest of the season.

It was a good weekend for him what with his other half winning the Mexican Open as well.
