Off to Lisbon today to watch Sporting v Porto - 2nd leg Portuguese Cup Semi Final. I’m staying in Porto at the minute so taking the opportunity to go see how our European friends do needle matches.

Couldn’t get tickets for the Porto end so we’re amongst the Sporting Ultras! Looking forward to it.

Enjoy your stay, mate! Went to Lisbon for a friend's 30th and it really had this football-town feel. My group of friends weren't into football (the bastards) so I couldn't take in a Benfica/Sporting match sadly. Would gladly go back though.

Fantastic evening. Game wasn't brilliant but the atmosphere was unbelievable. The Sporting fans kept up the noise unbroken for 120 minutes. I'll put up a video later. Sporting now play tiny Alves in the final- they have a keeper called Quim

They are in the news for slightly less commendable behaviour at the moment.

Staggering.

Porto v Braga was a really good game, 88th minute winner so the place went mental.

Porto were individually better as you would expect but Braga had a good game plan, had the better chances and deserved a point at least.

Got most of their joy through Alex Telles, might be good technically but he's horrendous positionally, got done by the cross field ball behind him every time.

I like Brahimi, very entertaining to watch but end product isn't always there. Best player was Danilo though, think he could play for a top Prem side no problem. Oliver Torres can play too.

Braga's best threat was probably Dyego Sousa, big, mobile unit but suspect finishing. The number 27, Fransergio was tidy too.

Quality stadium, very loud when it gets going and the pre-match spectacle is impressive.

Wasn't impressed by the fact I was two pints deep before I realised it was non-alcoholic beer, thought it tasted it like shit just because it was in a plastic cup.

Was Tiquinho (Soares) any good? We've been linked with a January move.

I thought he was shit in the first half and struggled to get involved but was slightly better in the second and popped up with the winner. Got a good record so must have something about him, thought he was a bit lumbering though.

Braga defenders dealt with him and Marega pretty well but the cross for his goal was a peach.
