It's great if you win, happy memories of beating Lincoln in 05/06.

Might be a chance that Mansfield throw a spanner in the Crewe promotion bid Saturday.

Be right up Derek Adams street to get one over on us on Saturday. The last thing I want to hear on Saturday night is that clowns voice praising how good his side were against a poor Plymouth outfit

can you not
The last two seasons we've beaten Mansfield away when they were a decent side, this year they are tosh, you know exactly what's coming?

Tbh though Mansfield looked one of the best teams we've played this season at Greatly Rd.

That was when flitcroft did what flitcroft does and fuck up promotion when it was more or less impossible - bloody tosspot.

We’re showing some signs of life under Coughlan, we’ll be back up there next season - it’s just whether Saturday comes too soon.

Mansfield not an easy game by any stretch.

Can't see Cheltenham going the rest of the season unbeaten either. They've gone under the radar most the season, much like Torquay did the year we got promoted in 2012! But when Torquay hit 2nd with 6 games to go, the pressure got to them and they wobbled and ended up missing out on promotion and losing in the playoffs. Could Cheltenham handle that sudden build up of pressure if they got themselves into a Top 3 position?

I can see us dropping some silly points in the run in. But the teams around us aren't home and hosed themselves. Win the four home games remaining (tough ask given FGR and Northampton will be two of those) and we're on 81. Means we have to find a win away from home. We often find one at Mansfield, but they'll be a stern test with players playing for contracts. Other three aways before Cambridge are all at playoff chasers. Got to be winning one of those at the very least.

But our record against the Top 8 this season has been pretty poor. Indeed, 5 of our 8 losses have come against sides currently in those positions...

Whilst I completely see your point, what I like about Michael Duff's interviews at the moment is the attitude that we have nothing to lose. He's hit his target for this season so now if we're drawing in a game, he's going to push players to go for the win. We're going to throw a striker on near the end, rather than try and settle for a 1-1.

This could backfire magnificently, but it worked wonders against Orient and Mansfield - games where we were the better team but couldn't break them down. Rather than sit back, and accepting our lot, Duff threw caution to the wind and late wins were obtained in both.

Whereas you won the game you quite clearly weren’t the better side, what utter crap

How we didn’t get anything from that game is beyond me, we had much the better chances.

That said, your 3-0 win before Christmas was one of the most comprehensive beatings we’ve had at home for some time, clinical, efficient, quality.

If Cheltenham get 24 from 30 points then not really much to counter that on our part. I do think we’ll finish around the 85-88 point mark which should be enough imo.

Swindon should piss it from here on in with their run in. They should probably win every game they have left now. They barely face a credible footballer before the end of April. Absolute stonewall league win. No pressure lads.
Cheers, that's put the mockers on automatic promotion, playoffs here we come.
