Steve Dale doesnt think there should be NI payments if there are no staff. All depends on when the payments are from. Not sure why this couldn't have been established before the day in court.
That seems very strange.
Either these relate to some while ago or HMRC are applying IR35 on 'self-employed' staff who should be PAYE.
If that were the case though HMRC would have advised them of this some while ago and Dale would have had ample time to challenge the decision.
Smacks of more delaying tactics with no real foundation.
I really feel for Bury fans being lumbered with this muppet and having to watch him kill their club.

Bury are dead, they just dont know it yet.
Grizzly has NO intention (and never had) of trying to save the Old Girl
Long live the 1885

Bury were dead when Stuart Day walked through the doors with his Ponzi scheme.
Good luck with 1885 though.

That statement he made on Friday is completely unbelievable. It has also emerged that Bill Kenwright (Everton), pledged a £1million donation, but Deb Jevons has said this would not have been allowed anyway.

The latter, rightly so. Because it would've set a dangerous precedent if he was allowed to do that and it would've riled other clubs.

Cheers.

Surely, the club isn't eligible anymore after being kicked out of the FL?
The premier league are not the EFL and have said payment is due, hopefuly the berks come to their senses and pass any money to the Phoenix setup.

Unbelievable from the PL but then that really isn't a surprise.

No one really knows what his end game is, but its a pretty safe assumption to presume the reason for him contesting these winding up petitions is that he has seen some sort of other financial opportunity (this PL money certainly makes most sense).

Just wondering what the latest situation report is with Bury?
It's just that the Bridge Inn Travel are running 6 coaches to Accrington on Saturday.
The plan is to call in at the pubs around the ground at Bury and offer a bit of support and organise a bit of fundraising before going on to the match.

I want to make sure my money goes to the right organisation, any advice from Bury fans ?

Read the other day Dale has defaulted on the payments so looking likely they will be wound up thus the phoenix club will I guess then be the way forward.

Guess their fans just want closure now to know which way to proceed going forward.

Superb boys
the money will be going to the Phoenix group and not a single penny will end up in the hands of the grizzly.
Plans for the future (we do have one)
1: a consortium of Bury businessmen are in negotiations to buy the original club before it folds, this will only happen if grizzly can renegotiate the CRV, it needed to default as the obscene amounts we owed (sorry to all genuine business that suffer by this), this will have to be a couple of pennies in the £
Grizzly controls most of the debt via a very dubious purchase of £3500000 of "debt" from the fat crook Day.
£36000000 are owed, secured on Gigg Lane, to Capital Bridge Finance, an agreement on this would be next. They are thinking they can get National League North if all the above happens.
Chances VERY slim.
2: The Phoenix Bury AFC (should have been 1885 but I was outvoted!!)
Already applied for North West Counties League bottom tier.
This is the most likely option.
Should BFC survive against the odds money would be kept and added to as time goes by just in case we need it.
We have to ensure that whatever happens THIS TIME we can afford any money we spend.

So if I read this right, as a phoenix club you won't be at Gigg Lane and if Bury survive you might, but not likely?

This is what Paul who runs the show put on the groups Facebook page.
We usually have a stop off somewhere half an hour from the ground we are visiting.
Normally we only get to know the stop off on the day.

***ACCRINGTON PLAN***
As you know I don’t usually share details of pub stops HOWEVER after some chats over months and nicking an idea off my mate Mackem Steve, we will be stopping at the pubs around Gigg Lane, Bury who are obviously missing out on a lot of football trade in the same way our Masbrough boozers lost out when we were at Don Valley.
This has been organised by the guys that are looking to resurrect Bury FC even if that means starting out again as AFC Wimbledon did after the MK fiasco!
For that reason we shall be trying to make a few quid for the Bury FC Phoenix club over the next week and with footy cards on the day donated to them - we will also take some charity buckets should anyone wish to make a donation or otherwise!
As a Miller, we’ve been on the very edge of what Bury have unfortunately gone through and I think it’s a nice and decent thing to do, and I’m the boss!
To start things off, I’ll be setting up 2 online footy cards tomorrow for £1 a box - 1 for a pair of MK Dons home match tickets and 2 for a pair of coach seats to Wycombe away which could be the title decider!! Get your online quids ready!!
Thank you, as ever, for your ongoing support!

Why the bottom tier? Given the potential size of the club and the historial placing of phoenix/protest clubs, you should be applying for the top tier.

Ourselves*, Chester and Hereford to name but a few started at tier 9.

*tier 8 at the time as it was before the introduction of the Conference North and South.

We apply and it's up to the league, bottom seems to be what we expect.
Anything else is a bonus
Just desperate to get some sort of club up and running for next season.
