I’ve got no idea why we never travel well to Grimsby, it’s a really weird one. We always take more to the London games and anywhere in Yorkshire than we do there.
just catching up to this thread.

maybe its that east and west and pretty crap journeys where as along the motorway north and south its quite straight forward.

M1/M180 or the more scenic A46 if you prefer. Couldn't be easier.

When fans pick their 'away days' for the season Cleethorpes rarely gets chosen. That is a traditional thing from the bad old days when we had trouble at almost every home game. Those days have gone, but people have long memories and we are still tarred by that old brush. Shame really because Cleethorpes has been cleaned up and has some lovely places to eat, etc, etc.

Not segregated but definitely 400+ i would say. Gate 1495 and they usually get a 1000 at home.

I don’t understand how around 250 tickets were purchased but away support is given as 217, not that it matters.
Was told before the game by an official that you sold 220 as these figures had to be given to the cops.

581 was the number of Wrexham called out today but gotta say it looked like 300 more than that

Was told we sold near to 1000 tickets, so I'm not sure where they've pulled 581 from. Those who went to both the Eastleigh and Southend games said it looked like we had more at Southend too.

Someone on the Southend forum reckoned as it got close to kick off they just let everyone outside in and stopped counting.

Keep a few hundred off the books I suppose.

Not bad considering the distance and our awful start to the season. Reckon there might have been a couple of hundred more if we had actually been competitive this season so far.
Do you guys still do that 'one to get to' thing where you pick a relatively-distant away game once a season that you all make an effort to go to? Or am I making it up? Haha I swear you chose Grimsby one year and had 400ish at Blundell Park, about twice what you would normally have, for a routine league game. Remember it being a good atmosphere and thought that Grimsby should do the same thing.

We do that every match don't we (400+)...

Actually, our fancy dress / inflatable / Mariachi band games with our Aalst guests from would be the equivalent

Have to agree with you, as Shrimpurh said more like 900, good turnout and a highly entertaining match

Haha, we do, yeah, called Tour of Duty. Think we’ve been doing it about 12 years now and it’s always a great day out - surprised more teams don’t do something like it.
Yeah we did do Grimsby a few years back haha - not sure if this years has been announced but expect it’ll be Yeovil or Altrincham.

Average away attendances after GW4. Wrexham been turnstile'd out of a higher number.

I saw a tweet saying Stockport had around 100 at Boreham Wood. If that's incorrect please let me know and I'll get it changed. Eastleigh have no recorded aways as I don't have a figure for their turnout at Bromley, and Solihull are yet to play away.

Stockport surely had more than 100 at Boreham Wood!?! Or are they on strike until Rusk goes?
