Lucky Ladders

As those who played TFF Survivor know, a Word Ladder is a beautiful thing. This tv gameshow from 1988-93 asked contestants to complete a seven step ladder. Each adjacent word related to each other in some way, and they took it in turns to ask for letters or take a guess.

Now here, we instead have an eleven step ladder. In your teams, you will face off against another in a ‘semi final’, before the two winning teams will compete to complete another ladder. Each team will take it in turns to either guess the word(s), or request a letter. If you correctly guess a word, then you have a free turn, in which you can ask for a letter. You can not guess a word in this free turn.

If you somehow ask for a letter and this is the final letter in a word, it will not result in your team getting the word. The next team will simply have to post the word, and the point will go to them.

To allow both semi finals to be played tonight, these will be played in a PM that will shortly be set up. Not ideal, but it'd be a mess if we did it in this thread. Please remember that you are in a separate PM, and to discuss your next move(s) in your original team PM.

Progression to the ‘Final’ will guarantee points, and at the end of the game, the winning team will be awarded five points, whilst the runner-up will collect two points. The final will be played on Sunday, from 7pm.

The random generator has determined the semi final games, as set out below.
