Very very good but always injured, if he stays fit then it’s a massive signing. But that’s unlikely been here years but rarely got a run of games.

Ben Tollitt has signed for Blackpool.

League One, 2 year deal with an option for another. We were in for him but can't compete with that. He's not good enough for League One though.

I don't really know anything about him.

Views?

A little out of his depth at National League level imo. On his day he was great, superb deadball, good with a cross. Was key in our 4-2 victory over Gateshead. However was often anonymous at best unfortunately. Nice guy and I wish him well

Ffs why's he still here? Can't Maidenhead afford his wages?

We are on an NL South budget so Fondop will be on more with you guys than anyone in our squad. He was OK for us but didn't do enough to warrant us paying that kind of money for him next season.

On the few occasions I've seen Gime Toure he's looked like a more refined version of Shaun Batt. Has the pace, power and unpredictability to worry defences but very shoddy end product.

He might hit double figures but there is no way he hits 20 goals.

That prediction reminded me of the glory days of ChrisFGRs

was he the guy who made some ridiculous prediction that the newly signed FGR strikers would get 60-80 (can't remember the exact figure) goals between them in a season 4/5 years ago?

The very same. Every striker was predicted to get 40 odd goals.

You'd have thought it was a joke but Chris is very bombastic, god bless him.

As for Gimi, I can't see him starting really unless Kabamba has a mare in the first month or two. We'll play 4231 and the 1st choice front 4 will look like this:

James
Hawkes
Molyneux

Kabamba

We've got a bit of a mental squad actually, lots of attacking back up in Luke Williams, Donaldson, Holohan but defensively not convincing and that'll be our weakness.

It's very much shaping into a Hignett style squad, great going forward but wide open at the back. Still no sign of a left back which is very badly needed.

Maidenhead have signed Jake Cassidy. Is he the one who's lazy and shite? I'm sure I've read that on here.

And you thought Ryan Bird was a workshy carthorse, you ain't seen nothing yet.

I'm genuinely appalled. He's failed everywhere he's been. At least with Bird we had the excuse that he'd scored a few elsewhere, Cassidy has flopped multiple times across several clubs. On our budget we can't afford to make mistakes like this. It's bad enough having already signed a known injury prone crock in Fenelon - no idea where the goals will come from next year. Will Byron Harrison and Joe Quigley be coming along too to complete the set?

I think this bone idle waster will actually get a bagful of goals for you.
The last two times I've seen him play were lying on the pitch at Fleetwood begging to be subbed in the last game of the season which we had to win to stay up.
Then playing for Grimsby where he was taunted with ' one lazy bastard ' and ' you're shit for Grimsby you're shit for Vale ' . Grimsby fans agreed !!

However he does know where the onion bag is and whatever his lack of effort does to piss people off that will be forgotten if you are winning games.
Pretty much a hate figure at Vale due to his lack of bottle just when we needed it most.
PS is that Kennedy any good ? Assuming he's a squad signing rather than a first team player.

Kennedy is one of the better CB's at this level but very much unproven in the league. He played at right back for us a few times and was competent there. Good backup centre half for any L2 side I'd guess.

Hes certainly nowhere near as bad as Joe Quigley, but really is nothing special.

He started off decent for us, always putting in 100%, seemed to win a lot in the air and overall causing defenders a lot of problems......he just can't finish for shit. His second loan spell with us he honestly didn't look that interested and ended the season watching from the stands (it was rumoured that he had refused to play)

Was quite a few fans moaning that we weren't getting value for money on the grand a week we were paying him.

Cheers. There's already a real lack of goals among our strikers so he doesn't help matters.

At NL level:
Cassidy - 17 in 96
Fenelon - 19 in 90
Akintunde - 12 in 86
Kelly - 6 in 39

Cassidy looks the part, he's a big lad and you expect more from him for his size but in reality he's a fanny, walking through treacle slow, looks disinterested half the time and his lack of goals speaks for itself, thought the loan spell at Maidstone would've done him some good but I guess not.

Jake Cassidy had a couple of decent loan spells at Rovers about 7 years ago. All downhill from there!

If he's being looked upon to actually score regularly Maidenhead are gonna be in for a season of struggle.

Sadly that does appear to be what we're looking for from him, unless the plan is to revert to 442 and use him as a foil for Kelly.

He also said that if FGR lost at home to North Ferriby then he’d get ‘TWAT’ tattooed on his forehead.
North Ferriby won 1-0 but all the tattoo parlours were fully booked unfortunately so he couldn’t get it done.
