Aye, Bony would be a shocker of a signing.

Billy Bodin signs a 1 year extension, no problem with that, gives us a different option out wide.

Been their best player this season in fairness. Clearly has improved massively from the player that Fulham released, he’s turned out to be a real solid player.
Six million quid they paid for him. Typical Wigan flogging for an absolute bargain, although at the time I don’t think anyone was that angry about the fee.

Never trust folks with two first names.

As Craig says James Justin!

You won’t here anything other than high praise for him from any Luton fan. Came through our academy and was integral in our season last season. It was when he came in to replace the injured Potts about 10 games in that we started to absolutely motor. Real modern fullback in that he gets forward and attacks brilliantly, but great pace as well. With that he could get caught out positionally at times but still solid in that respect. Judging from when we played Leicester in the cup he seems to have got even better too.

Despite being right footed he played left back for us for the most part so he’s comfortable with either foot.

I’d understand it if Leicester laughed us out of the room given clubs like yourselves are in for him, but I’d like to think we might chance our arm at getting him loan given our absolutely appalling current crop of fullbacks. We’ve never got close to replacing him and Stacey and he really could slot straight back in which might be a good thing for his development.

We've been linked with Ivan Toney, Conor Gallagher and Rhian Brewster in the last couple of days. Like 2017 Bristol City.

I'd love to get both Stacey and Justin back on loan, so we can bin both Bolton and Bree - can't see either happening if I'm honest.

Saw that we were being linked with Rhian Brewster too and saw something yesterday about us bidding £500k for Ronan Curtis.

Everyone in the league seems to be linked to this Brewster chap so not sure we’d be that much of a draw! I guess we could pretty much guarantee games to him.

It did cross my mind about Curtis being the kind of player we might need so interesting that has come up. Looked great against us last season and a sort of more aggressive Cornick, but 500k doesn’t seem like an amount that would interest Pompey.

Jones has also mentioned about players needing “championship experience” (despite some of the ones who have that that he’s signed being pretty awful) in some recent interviews and neither of those have that.

We're after Nkethia, again, plus a bloke called Youane Wissa from Lorient, €4M is the supposed fee. One of LJ's lieutenants, Jamie McAllister had a meet with him on Monday. Never heard of him TBH.
A few Prem clubs after Josh Brownhill by all accounts.

We’ve been linked with about 30 players in a week. Classic.

Couple that seem concrete are Nketiah and Chirivella (midfielder from Liverpool) on loan. Imagine we will try and get a decent winger in too. Would like one more attacker or Tyler Walker recalled to give us some more depth up top as I’m just waiting for Grabban to pull something and be out for 3 months

Haven’t been on here in ages, seems so dead after the name change.

Anyway, main rumour for us today is Emre Mor, a striker currently on loan with Galatasaray. Doesn’t seem to have ever set the world alight but moved to Dortmund for £8m at one point, and Celta Vigo for £11m once, so there should be some talent there!

Only 22, and his background is Danish which given how many Danes we’ve bought and how well we know the market makes some sense. The figure quoted is £4-5m which seems steep unless someone leaves, though it’s less than the fee we had agreed for Ghoddos in the summer when that fell through.

Would be nice to have another striker in case Watkins leaves / gets injured, as we’re very reliant on him at the moment, but seems a lot of money to spend on someone who will initially at least sit on the bench.

We’ve been linked with Bailey Wright - centre half at Bristol City. Played a lot of championship games although less so in the most recent 2 seasons so probably fits Into the small pool of players that have “championship experience” but we also might be able to afford.

Still prefer us to look for some up and coming players, if only to prepare us for League 1 next season, as being honest the players who we have brought in with the much lauded “championship experience” have been pretty poor for us in general. But we will see.

I know it's a daft question, but any of you Luton mob ITK about transfers/rumours?

Word around the stands at Pools recently has it our fullback Peter Kioso has been linked with your lot and I'm just sat here sweating bullets till the 1st Feb hoping it's bollocks, feel free to dismiss it and lower my blood pressure.

Is he an athletic, young, pacey, attacking fullback with bags of promise who will be happy in L1. Yes please

It was a name mentioned in a few comments on Luton outlaws a few weeks ago, so there may be something in it. But it’s outlaws so could as equally be total bollocks! Is rather in that “too left field to be made up” area though.

I see he was with MK before a spell at Dunstable so he must be local to us. I know we have some links with Dunstable so may be something to it from that angle too.

We desperately need fullbacks so it’s an opportunity for someone like him to come in and get half a season of championship football before settling at league 1 level.

The lad is quality, absolute stand out player in non league, way too good to be playing down here, apparently had plenty of teams watching him this season already, think his contract is up this season so I'd imagine we'll be looking to sell him this month instead of getting tuppence for him at tribunal, surprised he hasn't been hoovered up by Peterborough yet.

This sums the lad up in one clip.

He is all of that and has really come on this season. He was prone to rash mistakes last season but his decision making has got better. He’s a threat going forward as well, gets into good positions and can cross and even score. Can also play centre half. I don’t want him to leave but hate seeing good players slumming it in the pub league. Let’s settle on £2m upfront and a 50% sell on, eh?

Erm quite happy with my finest quality stainless steel one if it’s all the same to you, ta. The 50p might come in handy though.
