Yeah, it was. If you speak to him he'll tell you that he sees himself as a more attacking winger, but when he came back and didn't quite have that explosiveness from before he was in and out of the team a lot and generally given more defensive responsibility I thought. Was starting to show signs of getting back to form towards the end of last season but his move to MK obviously hasn't worked out for whatever reason.
Not sure why his move to MK didn’t work other than his Dad passing away recently must have hit him hard, naturally.

We play with wing backs so sounds like he will slot straight in there and need to do the defensive side of things too. Looking forward to seeing him play as he looks like a decent player.

Not sure how true this is, but apparently our board wouldn't approve this signing and that there is some division within our heirachy - Kent Teague apparently didn't want Ross as Head Coach and there's been a few fall outs..

I don’t think Ross wanted Ross as head coach. Whole episode has Ling’s incompetent fingers all over it.

Fully expecting Cisse to be shite.

We’ve signed Harry Charsley formerly of Everton. Much needed midfielder.

We added Tafari Moore on loan from Plymouth before kick-off. From what I was reading about him yesterday it didn't sound too promising, but he looked steady enough today.

He's only cover for Ryan Jackson who was suspended today, but given Plymouth are trying to offload him I guess it will serve as a bit of an extended trial period for him as well until the summer.

He just did not fit a wing back system. I thought he had potential at this level as a full back.

He was atrocious last season and hasn’t featured for us this season.

As I say, he'll only be a back up anyway unless he turns out to be particularly good so he seemed reasonable enough to provide cover, albeit he wasn't tested too much really.

Leon, did we have a defender last year that was not atrocious?

No, although the current back 3 have turned it around and there must be a reason why Taf wasn’t fancied by Lowe. Hopefully he does well

Jay Emmanuel-Thomas set to play in a reserve type friendly for the club on Thursday. Been in Thailand since 2017, but seems to have done well elsewhere before. Always a name I recall hearing on the Football League show so could be a decent signing - with at least one rumour saying it's a done deal.

Amazingly, he's still only 29 - seems to have been around for ages.

Denzel Baudu has contract cancelled by mutual at Crawley. Ex Manure and Borussia Dortmund B teams. Only played in the Mickey Mouse cups for us so a large fall from grace but he went to the board and said he had an offer elsewhere.

Didn't do a great deal for us. Only played 8 games and was regularly left out of the squad (5 loan rule). "Steady" would be how I'd describe him from the limited times I saw him play. Didn't seem to excel at anything in particular.

I only saw him once and that was on a game on Ifollow and he wasn't very good. But that said unfair to judge on 1 appearances. A lot of people on our forum have opinions on him and I have yet to read anything positive. Make of that what you will!

An incredibly underrated player here, a lot of our fans loved him and the ones who don't understand football didnt. He does all the dirty work for the other strikers to benefit from, if he could just add a few more goals to his game he would be quality.

Might have had a chance at Leicester but for getting involved in that sex tape scandal in Thailand when on tour..

Seems to have a good eye for a pass, but unfortunately not the skill to execute them.

Wow, there's a blast from the past. He would fit nicely in the wasted talent thread. The guy was dynamite for Bristol City in 15-16, but his career has nosedived since. Not slumming it by trailing with L2 clubs mid-season. My how his star has fallen.

Cheers. Working in Scunny, I vaguely remember your lot talking about him.

Sounds like he's a link up type player for a proper '9' but not a '10' as such himself. We started Walker and an Arsenal loanee up front at the weekend and whilst they did well, they'd have done better with someone a bit more physical up front with one of them.

Looks like we've loaned a keeper from Derby : https://www.mtfc.co.uk/news/2020/january/21.01.20-silkmen-sign-rams-stopper-mitchell/

Promising that a) we've got a bit more between the posts and b) we've actually been able to sign someone despite the basket-case that we are.

No idea if he's going to feature tonight though.

Also re-signed (4th time i guess?) Danny Whitehead on loan from Salford who they've clearly deemed surplus to requirments after signing half of League One. Not sure who is approving these signings, or if we've actually agreed to pay any other eithers' wages.

Whitehead loves going off somewhere else for bit and making a load of money then comes back and plays football for a bit. Will be interesting to see how he copes in league 2, hopefully very well.

Wonder when Amar will fuck off so I can go and watch again.

According to our local radio Mansfield have made a ‘significant’ bid for your CB Kelleher

We've announced Junior Browns loan spell is being extended. A bit of a suprise as Hurst said on Saturday he was going back as we didn't have the money to pay for his wages. Either Coventry have agreed for us to pay less or Swann has given in and provided it. Either way a good signing as we are desperate for players and he's quite good.
