Like your typical lower league winger/number 10 - flits in and out of games. Usually in and around the action, working hard (sometimes headless chicken like) but hasn't really delivered on goals and assists yet.

The opposite of Jorge Grant really who has the assists but seems to play on the peripheral.

I found him opposite tbh, topped our goals/assists but felt like a luxury we couldn't afford and he completely disappeared January onwards.

Ah right, we've not had that yet. He feels like a better version of McCartan - capable of good things but doesn't quite happen regularly enough.

Is Shay getting games?

He's injured all the time tbh, came on scored the winner against Swindon then does his knee again and is out for another month. I like him but it's never happened for him here, in any sort of decent amount of time.

Talking of Swindon, are you likely to recall Doyle or are you likely to sell him to Swindon in January? It would be highly amusing if you recalled him.

Talk our end is of recalling him, and we probably have too. Can't have someone out on loan to a rival doing what he's doing.

Big transfer window coming up to try and stop this alarming slide. It’s also a terrible run of fixtures over the next few weeks. Be nice to have more than the odd home league game too.

Not just us then. No home league games for us now 'til Boxing day. 5 weeks. Never known such a big gap before.

Our last home league game was the 26th Oct but we did have Sunderland at home in the League Cup on the 29th Oct. Our next home game is 7th Dec vs Shrewsbury. Our only scheduled home game was Ipswich which got called off for international call ups. All the Cup games have been or will be away other than the Sunderland game.

My last home league was Sunderland on October 5th and my next will be Ipswich on December 29th! I missed the Shrewsbury on the 18th October (holiday) and will miss the Tranmere game on the 14th December (working), never known a season like this, granted the Bolton game was postponed (are they ever going to play any of their 3 games in hand?) and the Bury game ( due them being thrown out) even so it's a weird league this one.

Yeah yeah yeah, funny how you didn’t miss any when you were winning every week.

Probably as good a thread as any to post this in...

We've announced plans to extend our ground by increasing the capacity of our Stacey West stand by 1,500 seats.

About time we expanded the ground and it appears we're committing to redeveloping Sincil Bank rather than moving to a new ground, which I'm happy about.

Looks like we've done it on the cheap though a little bit, which is a shame, but needs must I guess. Should take our capacity up to 12,000 odd now which is needed given we've had two sellouts in a row. Next step is to knock down the main stand and build a proper modern facility that stretches the entire length of the pitch.

Very Blackpool-esque with the stanchions. Would look better without them.

The plans for the concourse areas would suggest parts of the Club (Trust, Community, Academy and Education) would move in there from the Echo Stand and presumably open up the option of various grants, which makes it an affordable, or a more affordable, expansion.

I was also thinking very Blackpool-esque.

Be interesting to see how it turns out because it does look very cheaply done, you will end up with ‘does the job’ or ‘should have done it properly’

Surely if you were redeveloping the current ground instead of moving you wouldn't do it on the cheap with pillars in the way? Looks more like a stop gap until a new stadium.

Apparently we're still looking at the new stadium, so you're probably right. I was just hoping we'd stay at SB and redevelop it like Bristol City did with theirs.

what a club is promised and what it actually gets can be two very different things........take those Greenys down the A38 for instance........enticed by a " Bernabeau" yet lands up with a "Barnabeau"........................the middle is the Real deal

We've not been promised anything. The plans have been submitted as above alongside advice from the Council so I doubt it'll deviate much, if at all.

Never agreed to the Lincoln Vitals one, but I'll pay up on the charity one if you go down.
Good to see you back.

If I may ask, what's your opinion on the sudden influx on fans flocking to see Grimsby since Ian Holloway's arrival? Nearly a sellout in the home ends on Saturday wasn't it? I don't want to mention the 'b' word, but...

Thought people only jumped on bandwagons when they were winning. We have only taken 4 points from 9 under Ollie.
