Hopefully this won't cause a lengthy disruption, but the boards will be closed on Monday for updates & some restructuring. We're anticipating 3-6 hours.

It's nothing too exciting but will be a step in the right direction for positioning ourselves for the business end of the season.

Some of the changes will affect you and bookmarks may need to be updated; more on this prior to the work commencing.

Cheers,
TB

Just a reminder that the site will be closed shortly after midnight as we work on the updates.

Onefootballforum.co.uk will still redirect to the website but our primary domain is changing. :)

Well, safe to say that took longer than expected!

You will notice we are now using thefootballforum.net as our primary domain. This is due a long running dispute with Google Search which saw us lose 40% of our organic traffic. After failing to come to an agreement we have reverted back to thefootballforum.net which we purchased 5 years ago before deciding to stick with 1FF.

What does this mean to you? Please update your bookmarks. Furthermore, it will take a good 48-72 hours before the majority of the site is reindexed on the new (old) domain. Once this is done, traffic will be significantly higher; we now have a 16+ year old domain with all former backlinks still in place; from both domains. Finally, onefootballforum.co.uk has been permanently redirected to thefootballforum.net.

Certain things including our https security certificate and logo will be handled in the coming days, too.

Best,
TB

TB, I don't think this is the case at all; a google search for 1FF will only direct you to a blank page (File not found). I'm on Chrome and I also tried Edge but the same thing happened.

It does seem to me that most others just can't get on here, as the 'last seen on date' for nearly everybody is Sunday just before the site was taken offline for the whatever needed sorting out.

Ps . I only found the forum when I went on one of those is it down type sites - this one iirc: https://downforeveryoneorjustme.com/ - and it redirected me to here. But googling 1FF got me nowhere.

Thanks for highlighting this issue, it relates to an old HTTPS certifcate for onefootballforum.co.uk

We have put in a temporary HTML redirect for now; so all should have access.

Cheers,
TB

Yep exactly what I’ve been getting, then just now it finally redirected me, had no idea it was back up on Tuesday.

Since the update I'm getting massive grey gaps between posts in threads and topics in sub-forum overview pages when viewing on mobile. Are there supposed to be adverts there? Quite annoying to scroll through and you think you've got to the end of the thread before realising later you've missed 3 or 4 posts.

Anyone else got the same?

Can you see them now?
