To be fair I get your point, but we do miss out on players who may improve the squad because they can get a better part time wage combined with the football at this level.
We get frustrated because we go for the younger players (who lack of experience at this level) who may not need that sort...
Chuffed to pieces to be fair.
Interesting to see what we do now but positive news after the last year of dross and Gordon living in cloud cookoo land. Sounds like the stadium plans have been scrapped too.
Was quoted on here about how ridiculous my ambition of NLN Survival at the start of the season by someone else on here. I'd snatch your hand off for it now.
I don't know why but I feel numb to it now, ever since I started following in our relegation season from L2, we've just continued to have...
Love the fight Pembo has instilled in our players with a thread-bare squad.
We may have some disappointing results this season, but it wont be for the want of trying. Sooner the boardroom circus is sorted, the better.
Think JP would make a good fist of it if he was well-backed.
Felt like our club died for me today.
Actively staying out of my football club until the clown is out at the top.
We're in trouble, we have 12 senior players, 2 of them loanees. Jimmy and Penn don't look like they'll play for us ever again so rules those two out. How has it gotten to this? I...
Alarm bells ringing already - fans have already seemingly turned on Pemberton, never seen anything like it this early on the season although he is not the man to blame.
A piss poor budget and a bunch of kids is going to get us nowhere but looking over our shoulder.
Going to be a long old slog...
Don't know what on earth we're doing. Advertised half of our preseason games as first team games, and half has been pretty much a run out for the U23's.
Don't get the reasoning why we haven't fielded them, but Pemberton, on the face of it, looks massively undersupported by this circus so maybe...
Without taking the bulk of this thread, I just think Gordon is set on his decisions and clearly disregards any stakeholder as "uneducated" (in his words) which rubber stamps his ego. His need to go in the dressing room clearly demonstrates his traits which do not mix well with a football club. I...
I hear your story is right but I have it on good authority Lowe was let go because we had someone else lined up...Liam Daly. That ended in disaster. Lowe definitely wanted to stay regardless of Tunnicliffe - it was the clubs fault.
It all comes from the top as far as I am concerned and I have...
Palmer (only GK - far away from first team level)
O Connor (can't stay fit)
Penn (no legs or preseason, assistant manager, but registered)
One of the ones I grew to dislike to be honest.
Will show of glimpses of quality, but really shown bad body language. Always used to jog back once the ball was past him.
If he can get his attitude together and not be lackadaisical then he may prove to be a decent player.
Disappointed with this. Don't think a Declan Weeks will get you out of this league.
Basically a centre half when he plays he drops that deep, allowing the opposing midfielders as much time as they want on the ball. Also too lightweight. Good technically though.
Butterfield on the other hand...
Congrats to Stockport - would have always been a threat for aslong as they were down here.
As for us, we will be down here for as long as our egotistical chairman is still in charge. His post match interview on Saturday was disgraceful, particularly to a man who has been working for free for...
