We couldn't even fill the bench tonight and we've had 3 players go off injured. We'll do well to get another point this season. If Alfreton turn over Welling then I'll be very worried.

Welcome to the forums mate. Chin up. :gr:

Bugger me, really hope Alfreton get the results they need on Saturday, I would hate to send someone down.

Especially if we were celebrating promotion
Similar situation to the Kiddy v Stockport game.

Yet another away defeat 12 now!!!
What a bunch of total wankers we have at our club!!!
Please god the co-op bank shut us down for our debts and then we'll get rid of idiot chairman, board and management who couldn't run a bath nevermind a fucking football team!!!
A fan run club might just get the believe back in the city that this lot have total eroded since they took us down. took think when Rob Bradley left us chairman 10 years ago we had made to our 2nd playoff final getting crowds of 5k and running at a profit, this have lot have just sat on their hands and let it slide, shocking!

Not looking good I am afraid.

We MUST win on Saturday and see where we stand then. Could do with Grimsby doing the business against Southport too.

Their is a chain of events where both Alfreton and Welling stay up at the expense of Southport however

If Saturday is a draw, Southport lose to Grimsby then Welling beat Southport and we pull off a miracle and beat Bristol Rovers then we stay up with Welling.

We must hope Rovers drop points at Dover and Barnet seal the title at a awful Kiddy. Then Rovers have to concntarte on the play-offs and may field a weak side against us?

Its officially squeaky bum time!

Its certain to go down to the final day unless we do the unthinkable and lose on Saturday

Yeah, but they lost our sympathy when some of their fans invaded the pitch and attacked the players.

I went to the Worcester v Gloucester match tonight. How Worcester lost that is a mystery, that was ridiculously one sided and Gloucester's goals came from nowhere. The ref was overly whistle-happy who kept delaying goal kicks and corners to talk to players who had gone anywhere near each other.

Welcome mate. Remember you from TFF.

Alternatively you could beat Welling and get a point at Bristol Rovers. We lose to Grimsby (nailed on), then Welling turn us over and we're down on goal difference. I'll probably be more interested in what is going on at your place than at Haig Ave!

Great win for Ea$tleigh which massively decreases our chances of the play-offs.

Bye bye Alfreton.

You think your the first set of Tin Potters to come to The Shay and take the points? All the money in the world will never make you a real football club. By the way, your million pound mob were as bad as us tonight, Bristol Rovers and Grimsby will piss all over you in the play-offs. I'm already looking forward to it. :bdick:

Two relegation battles, two midtable finishes.

That's the longest any ex-league club has gone without even remotely looking like challenging for promotion from the Conference since the two-up, two-down system was introduced (not counting Stockport, as sadly they got relegated before they even had a chance). Considering that it was only failure to hold on just a bit longer for a win at Macclesfield that cost them their league status in the first place, I'm amazed they should find this division such a struggle.
It was just that at all. There were lots of things.

For example, away at Crewe we were 1-0 up, cruising and the ref fails to give a stonewall penalty for us, then gives an incredibly soft one at the other end (which I think was outside the area).

The Shay with an above average crowd in. Probably from the days when a proper football club, Halifax Town FC (deceased), played there.

Bit of a struggle in the first game having 10 men for 80 odd minutes. ;)

Well the fans think we are but chairman thinks all is hunky dory, if ever there was a right time for a demo against this idiot and his cronies than there is no better time than the televised game.
Ever since all the shares got moved to the holding company things have got very dodgy with the finances.
Welling and Chester have beaten us twice too but on the other side of the coin we've beaten Barnet and Grimsby twice go figure.

That's bad but not as bad as Welling providing Hyde with their one victory of the season last year.

They knocked us out of the FA Trophy on pens. 120 mins and we couldn't find a winner. :eyes:

We should form a support group.
