Vaughan picked up his 10th booking, which means he’ll miss both Colchester and Mansfield. He’s done that deliberately, as Donaldson is set to return. Jamie Devitt back on the bench - bodies slowly coming back.

Very even game at Gresty Road. You can see why Cheltenham are where they are, they've got lots of pace upfront and are pretty solid at the back. They should be ahead, but Alfie May missed a great chance before Addai blew what should have been a tap in, that miss is DVD blooper worthy.

We've had a couple of chances through a Green header and a Lowery shot that the keeper just about kept out. Finely balanced going into the 2nd half.

Bit of a scrappy game at Blundell Park, both sides trying to play football on a bobbly pitch and cancelling each other out.

Couple chances for both sides both with good point blank saves from the keepers. We were on top last 5 mins so didn't really want the half to end!

Good game at Vale, should of had the lead inside a minute but couldn’t sort his feet out and scuffed it from six yards out and Woz had a header drop wide, Orient dangerous on the break and Brown made a great save (not sure if the offside was before the save or picking up the loose ball) playing some decent football at times with Pope not there to lump it too.

That said he might be worth chucking on later on if in the balanced. Angol is a handful although when Pope gets that physical it’s always a foul! Good battle with Smudge and him, right scrap.

Burgess twice in great positions and slipped!

Could go either way this.

How much bad luck can we get? Clarke pulls up after a ball over the top meaning it's an easy 1v1 for Akpan, the 2nd then comes while we've got 10 men. We would be winning it it wasn't for bad luck, it's so frustrating.

Shithousery of the highest order from Newport. Conning the ref easily and outmuscling us on a pitch that should never be allowed to have football played on it.

No way we’ll get anything out of this. Send a couple of the youth team subs on and kick the shit out of a few of them.

Didn’t hear you bemoaning your bad luck when you fluked a 1-0 win at Blundell Park with your only chance of the game.

Because that's not luck, it's finishing your chances. A player pulling up in the perfect time for the opposition is bad luck.

1-0 Amoo!

Genuinely don't know how this game has managed to be scoreless until now.

2-2 now....I really am beginning to lose patience with Bowyer now! I’ve never known a manager so fucking conservative.

Good day for the chasing pack today. No idea why I thought we’d beat Newport away! Type of game we always get bullied in.

Made that harder work than it needed to be! Big win though after midweek and ahead of some tough fixtures. We missed three or four easier chances than the goal!

Well we started the second half like we finished the first on top, hit the post again after a good save from their keeper.

Then gave possession away cheaply and Exeter go and score after some bad defending against run of play. After that Exeter just controlled the game and apart from a bit of technical skill from Hanson for a shot at the end saved on the line we didn't really do anything.

Massive win that, they blew their energy in the first 60 minutes and we got on top once they dropped off, we dominated most of the 2nd half, they barely had a sniff of goal. Nottingham made a huge impact, Anene grafted his arse off, Wintle being back in midfield made a huge difference as well. Perry Ng finally gets his hair cut after breaking an almost 2 year goal drought.

Got a nice run of games now, 6 winnable fixtures before Plymouth away. Need to keep the wins rolling in.

What the fuck are Cambridge playing at today? 4-0 loss at home to Stevenage who had managed 15 goals all season. And now Westleys mob are off the bottom ffs.

Good win in the end for Vale, if we could ever string a couple together in a row we may be on to something.

Very harsh. Absolutely did not deserve to lose. Maxted was brilliant for them. Was a good game to watch

Got what we deserved there, not that we played too bad, but conceded a soft goal early, bit asleep for the second one then couldn't break down ten and eventually nine men due to our usual fannying around. March took a good poacher's goal, had a fair few shots but not many on target. Kept Andrade relatively quiet I suppose after he came on. Salford were pretty dirty, hence the card count, but they managed it well with backs to the wall and has us worked out.

How we haven't won that game I'll never know. Without the fortunate pull up Bradford weren't even in that game, we dominated in large spells.

I can see why they loaned Doyle out, he looks awful for Bradford.

We can't win at home. Plus we give away so many soft goals. 29 shots today, need to be doing better making pressure tell. Got a couple of away games coming up, which is good.

That. Will. Do.

If you had offered me another 1-0 away win, I’d have bitten your hand off, and with Newport doing us a favour, the game on the 1st is just getting bigger and bigger.

3-1 win but got away with it today. Mansfield were dangerous, and should of scored more than 1, but we found a way to win.

Got to keep this momentum up.

We can really turn it on if Bowyer allows em to, but usually we do enough just about about win, without being competitive. We’d much rather let the opposition play - whether we’re home or away. Really, really negative - especially given the names we have in our squad - a squad more than capable of running away with the league.

Boring, negative football. I can’t see us making the play-offs at this rate. Something needs to change ASAP.

I think it's fair to say we've reached a plateau with Mark Cooper. We've always struggled to score under his tenure, but kept a descent defence. Now we have pretty much neither.
Questions will be asked, why has the goal keeping position been treated with less than the importance it deserves. Recruitment has slipped back again. We have not appointed an assistant manager, which leaves everything down to one man. I can only imagine MC must be completely exhausted, and I suspect this is effecting the team head on. We can surely Improve, but we have missed a great chance to push on. I think we've run out of ideas under the current management. But hopefully MC will show the dogged determination he usually does when under pressure.
