Hi everyone. I hope you're all well. I'm hoping that you'd be able to potentially help to either share or contribute to a fundraising appeal that has been set up by Leamington FC. Having recently made his 400th appearance for Leamington, James Mace has had the devastating news that he has ruptured his Medial and Anterior Cruciate Ligaments (ACL). James works as a tree surgeon and his injury has meant he cannot work. His insurance company will pay a small sum each month, but not enough to sustain his young family and there would be no contribution to surgery costs. Would be very much appreciated if you could help in any way. https://www.gofundme.com/f/james-mace-acl-reconstruction

Looks like the non league teams are going to appeal the decision to shut their league down.

Start of potential legal action?

Hardly surprising, it was far too hasty a decision from the FA to declare the leagues null and void when the PL, EFL and NL had yet to determine how their seasons would finish. It's a pyramid so should be consistent throughout, ideally we finish this season even if it resumes in 2021 and means we bin off the 2020-21 season.

Many teams have played over 80% of their games. It's not ideal, but I'd rather use those games to decide promotions and relegations, than just waste all that effort. Who is to say next season won't get called off as well?

Over 5 hours getting back from Weymouth but certainly worth it, what a win and what a performance too! Really impressed with Weymouth, both full backs were out on the opposing touchlines which meant the game was very expansive and allowed both sides to play technical football, some of the stuff being played wouldn't have looked out of place higher up the pyramid.

The scenes in the away end when Lafayette bagged his hat-trick in the 89th minute would have been redundant if the referee had correctly awarded us a spot kick when 3-1 up after Lafayette was fouled.

Weymouth will be right up there this season, they had us under the cosh for a good 20-25 minutes in that second half.

As referenced last August, that game should have been played at a higher level and thankfully it will be next season.

It’s only 90 minutes but Weymouth were the best side I saw last season and given how both clubs play, I’m hoping it holds up well in the National League next season.
