LJL scores off the bench to make it 2-0. Got to give Hurst his dues on that one, just what was needed.

Will give Hurst credit today; didn't break up a scoring partnership, brought LJL on at seemingly the right time and hasn't even brought Parslow on while 2-0 up. Good lad.

Burton sent off for Eastleigh and the manager sent to the stands, Hurst has had a masterclass today.

That's Macc out of it, essentially 8 points to make up in 6 games. Scenes if they beat Rovers now.

Even without Parslow we still sat back for last 10 mins and let them in. We comfortably controlled the game till then. Eastleigh weren't great and lost their discipline at the end

Couldn't see any way you guys wouldn't win, as I said earlier. Goal difference is already past us really.

Was just looking at your fixtures and I definitely expect you to win your next couple atleast. I said before next slip up is now vital and I reckon that could be us with Macc next up.

It still astounds me the amount of people who never actually saw this coming. Blue tinted glasses must have done a right trade in recent months.

Love a late equaliser against a team that time wastes for about 70mins.

We're very much on holiday and neither team deserved a win. Easy to see why Alfreton are where they are in the league...very nice goal for them though, screamer.

I don't think Alfreton and Southport have too much to worry about, Welling lack the quality to win enough matches to close the gap.
Kieron St Aimie was a terrible impersonation of a footballer for us all those years ago and he still is now for Welling.

Dreadful game, didn't really play well at all but certainly didn't deserve to lose it. Alfreton's goal was a belter but other than that they didn't really offer anything.

Get in there. Penalty was a bit soft, but we probably edged the play - it was very even mind and you could argue they deserved a point. The duck of playing shit against top teams is over, only 4 points behind them now and with Eastleigh and Halifax dropping points we're right back in it - 4 points off with a game in hand. Fucking brilliant.

Welling were awful today. Vose looked decent as expected but the rest were terrible. That defender Bush looked so clumsy, an accident waiting to happen. Akinde put the absolute shitters up their defence.

Hard to assess a performance like that when you don't really need to leave 2nd gear to get a results was professional, I guess, somewhat sloppy at times, but we done what was needed.

Personally think Alfreton away will be much trickier than that game, but still very much winnable.

We didn't sit back, they scored with there second effort on goal. It was from a free kick taken on the halfway line, aside from that they didn't threaten once, they were shite.

Played well today, aside from Clay and Disley in the middle who seemed wasteful. Palmer was superb, LJL came on at exactly the right time and looks much better off the bench in my eyes. Jolley and Arnold were good on the wings.

Eastleigh were a fucking horrible bunch of c***, and they were shite.

Barring a miraculous set of results next week, Macc now out of it.

Stroll in the park for us today with Akinde rested for the final half hour with the game already won.

Could have been more but 3 points is all that matters. On to the next game.

The only question now is, if we do end up finishing fourth, how long before the top three start losing matches on purpose to make sure that they face us in the play off semi finals.

I have a hunch that the top three will all still have a shot at the title on the final day....
