Monaco lost to Fener 1-2. They hardly deserved anything from the game. Falcao scored from a Skrtel mistake. Twitter went apeshit.

I hear Brendan Rodgers described Celtic's result as "outstanding".

They drew. Against a side from...Kazakhstan. Errrrr.

Their 3-0 up with just added time left! Amazing effort!. Surely the best European result for a League of Ireland side?

Incredible result. If they were to make the CL you'd think they'd have enough cash to piss the LoI for the next few years.

What did they have before? When I looked last night they looked to have the same teams and I didn't really understand what you were on about

Hugely impressive result against a side with genuine CL pedigree.

It was listing teams like Man City and Roma, who go down the non-champion route.

The Talksport reporter tonight also just said that if Celtic lose tonight, they're out of Europe altogether. Pretty sure that's wrong. They'll go into the Europa League Playoff.

How do these idiots get jobs in the media??

Anyway, Celtic one up tonight. Hopefully they hang on and we get a Dundalk vs Celtic tie next round :D

Celtic have only gone and won it with a last minute goal. Not the first time they've done that to Kazakhs...

Notice that Hapoel Sheva on Champions League debut defeated Olympiakos tonight 1-0 and won through 1-0 on agg.

Another big surprise against a team with genuine CL pedigree.

Watch Celtic draw them!

Gladbach is now one of the seeded teams in the CL Playoffs, thanks to the defeats of Anderlecht and Donezk. Both had better UEFA Coefficients than Gladbach before their matches. So Gladbach could avoid a possible Playoff against ManCity.
Possible Opponents are now: AS Roma, Steaua Bucharest, AS Monaco, FK Rostow or Young Boys Bern. Hopefully they don't get AS Roma. The other teams should be beatable (no disrespect to them)

Massive result last night for Celtic but were made to work very hard to progress, they'll be hoping for the most favorable draw which would be Dundalk. Which is quite unbelievable that they've secured Europa League football as the bare minimum, beating a club with decent European pedigree like BATE is impressive. Other surprise results were Rostov beating Anderlecht, and Young Boys getting past Shaktar Donetsk. Monaco beat Fernabache and join the big boys in the 4th and final qualifying round.

The biggest match is surely Porto vs Roma.

City should advance to the group stages, no disrespect to Steaua. And Gladbach (against Young Boys) should advance, too.
Celtic has drawn the allegedly easiest opponent from Israel. But you know how it is....;)

Celtic undobtedly got the easiest opponent, but no team should be underestimated (my team Red Star Belgrade learned that from FC Valleta (Malta)) :D

Celtic and Manchester City should breeze past their opponents - very favourable draws for them.

Porto/Roma and Villarreal/Monaco are good ties.

tbh: I wouldn't want to visit Romania either (heard there are Vampires :D )

City will advance even without City Fans in the crowd. At least at draw in Bucharest and then in the 2nd leg a win.

The German Team in the Playoffs, Borussia Mönchengladbach (short: Gladbach) today in Bern against the (not so) Young Boys. The Swiss Team already playing in the League and Gladbach has to wait for 11 days for the begin of the Bundesliga Season. This could be a handicap for Gladbach, at least in the first leg.

Watching Gladbach tonight. Looking forward how they're going to cope without Xhaka and Nordtveit.

Another penalty for City - this time Aguero has it saved.

Aguero is allergic to penalties now. OD'd in the opening game of the season.

Another penalty missed by Aguero.

Three penalties in two games for Pep so far - not bad going!

Maybe they should keep Hart to take spot kicks.
