Why all the anti-English club hated? Isn't the co-efficeint worked out again this year? If no English club makes the quarters we could well lose a CL place.

not this year. you are still 7 points ahead of Italy but they still have 5 clubs in the europa league. Germany took over yesterday the second spot

it is all well and good us laughing at chelsea. its a sad fact that they are still the best equipped english team to progress the furthest in Europe. city are a complete laughing stock, liverpool are hilariously bad in both the cl and the weaker el and frankly belong in neither. arsenal are naive and that stems from the manager. at least chelsea have a decent manager and a squad to match, they were just beaten by the better team tonight.

Well done, you're up to 7 posts, and 4 involve Liverpool. You're not obsessed much, are you?

Ibrahimovic: 'When the red card happened the worst thing was the Chelsea players. I felt there were 11 babies around me.'
I'm not surprised we surrounded the ref...The obvious campaign against us means we should do everything in our power to get decisions.

There was definitely something distinctly satisfying about seeing Chelsea crash out following their pathetic hounding of the referee to incorrectly get Ibra sent off. Then spending 90 minutes of football against 10 men and still not getting the result they needed. At home.

And posts like the one directly above this make it even better.

Nice one PSG.

I reckon PSG will get through.

PSG have the ability to score twice, at least. Ibra will be looking to make his mark due to his record against English sides (and Mourinho, of course). Can see him scoring tonight and silencing a few critics. Really looking forward to this one.
Good call Nath.

the team in bloody 4th shouldn't be in it anyway.

To be honest I think there is probably a strong resentment of most of the CL teams from their own countries, I bet a lot of other Spanish fans have a good laugh when Real and Barca fail or German fans when Bayern go out.

there frankly isn't much to like from the biggest clubs in Europe thesedays to warrant supporting them even when your own countries.

I see Mourinho is calling for retrospective ban on Luiz for an elbow on Costa. I wonder if he feels the same about Costa's push on Marquinhos. I suspect not.

You know what's funny about this....your a Liverpool fan (supposedly) and you're moaning about us surrounding the referee.

*you're

And Chelsea are the only team in England that give the United teams of old a run for their money when it comes to bitching to referees. Seriously, don't even bother trying to pull that shit. Last night Chelsea were pathetic, and got what they fully deserved. It was fucking fantastic.

We deserved nothing from the tie over two legs. Two dreadful performances....However is it fair PSG had an extra half an hour to get an away goal. Reckon in future after 90 mins away goals shouldn't count....think the Capital One Cup has something like that in place.

Despite looking like we're having a good season there are certainly areas of the team that need improvement...someone to partner Matic in midfield is the area we need most....Ramires works his arse off but on the ball he's shite. Based on last night this summer we should focus on trying to get Veratti. He's as good a player as I've ever seen play against us....outstanding player.

I'm well aware Mourinho is as much to blame for this defeat than anyone else. Madrid last year PSG this year....it's starting to grind me a little bit watching us get schooled in Europe.

It's painfully obvious this group of players can't hold onto a lead....why he set us up to play for 0-0 is beyond me....why he tried to park the bus after we took the lead was even more worrying. We have the players in the squad to take the game to these teams, especially ones with 10 men.

It was a bad night...made worse when blokes from Milton Keynes who last attended a football match when Fat Ronaldo was in his prime are taking the piss. I should get back to work.

I actually agree with that. Reckon this should have gone to shoot-outs.

But you had an extra half hour at home against 10 men to kill the tie off.

I'm not using it as an excuse for last night. But in general should teams get an extra half how to score an away goal than the home team in the second leg? Not exactly fair is it?

It's sort of evened out by the fact that the other team get an extra 30 minutes at home.

You're on decent google search away from seeing how playing at home in the second leg is favourable. One. Do your best. Good luck!

I do actually sympathise with this, although Bilo has correctly pointed out that you get an advantage too. Reckon the away goals rule has had its day (isn't there a thread about that here, or was that on TFF?)
