Sorry I’ve had a change of heart, we also won at Exeter which kept Devon Lad away from here for a few extra weeks and for this public service alone we now no longer deserve relegating. Sorry.
Everybody deserves relegating, it's just a question of when. :ds:

We may go down but we will have had a moral victory.
As World Cup winner Cesar Menotti said, on hearing of Claudio Coutino's claim that his Brazil team were the "moral champions" in 1978, "I congratulate Mr Coutino on his Moral World Cup". :bdick:

SPL clubs hoovering up average National League players again I see.

There was a Hearts fan on Twitter the day after attending our game at Chesterfield earlier this season, claiming the standard of football and the technique of the players was better than the last SPL match he'd been to. Obvs he was only talking about our side.......:ds:

The oracle, aka Liam Noble, has just come on Twitter to say Kabamba wouldn’t get in his U10s side. Now we could argue that Noble plays for Morpeth fucking Town but he’s got a point, he’s not that good. But we’ve had worse.

Slightly odd timing now we have no strikers left, but hopefully we’re doing it to get someone better in and not that Singh has forced his hand bearing in mind his contract’s up in June.

It's a good bit of business for Pools, he wasn't gonna get a new deal here next season and we've got money for him, gotta imagine they've got another body lined up to come in before the end of January.

I know he gets a rise out of winding up twitter but the bloke opted to play semi pro football at 28 for a team who play on a grass verge infront of Wor Kid and his dog, Kabamba, for all his faults and lack of threat in front of goal has presumably more than doubled his wages at Pools, got an 18 month deal and is going to be playing on a bigger platform than Noble ever got to.

As for us it leaves us desperately short, unless they're being coy about Keena's availability it leaves us with Niko for today and very little else.

Plus by only winning the ‘moral World Cup’ that Brazilian team in 1978 has missed out on the true recognition of being compared to the great Barrow side of 2019/20.

Do you not count Luke James as a forward, or is he out injured?

Only scores with your lot, 7 goals in 17 at Barra and 7 in 64 for us currently.

He'd scored something like 1 goal in 2 years before that - even though we were ultra defensive at the time, he really thrived off running onto through balls. Can't believe he doesn't get 20 a season at this level!

We originally sold him as a kid for £500,000, never set any league alight since.

Well we also have to factor in that Pools are CURSED, we turn players to shit, if he went back your way he'd be a wunderkind again.

Dior Angus has become the latest Barrow player to sign an extended contract to the end of next season after recent similar extensions for John Rooney and Josh Kay.

We've just signed Winger Cal Roberts for an undisclosed fee from Blyth Spartens.
There leading scorer. Completely out of the blue as far as I'm concerned but a welcome addition down the wings.

Great goals record this season for a team really struggling. Our wide was the one position where we could just someone new, Osborne is a really exciting young player but very raw still and Shields hasn’t really done much.

As with Wootton, I think we’re now starting to build a team for the next couple of years rather than having to scramble what we could at the start of the season.

Fantastic reports on this lad from Blyth and Newcastle fans - looking forward to seeing what he can do. Second fee we have paid this window too. Looks like we are officially Going For It.

Perhaps this is more a signing for next season, along with the Wootton deal not that his signing should do any harm this term.

What's your thinking about Bentley and his style of football so far, Fyldefan?

In all honesty the players we have dictate how we play. We've conceded so many silly goals this season passing it around at the back. I think we'll be more physical and direct once he's brought his own players in

That's exactly what we need at the minute

Proctor has been unlucky with a series of injuries since he signed for us, so he never had the chance to cement his place in the team.

Warne likes him though because he extended his contract last year, I hope he manages to get on the pitch and score a few goals to get him his confidence back.

When we came to Fylde I was amazed to see your back four taking it off the goalkeeper and passing sloooowwwwwwwly around your own penalty box which allowed all our players to get behind the ball. You then passed it into midfield and after 20 passes still hadn't crossed the halfway line.

When you lost it we broke on you. end result 1-4

Division 5 players for a reason, not Manchester City

I completely agree Simon. Our owner has said many times though (including giving bentley the job) that how we play football is the most important factor to him. Bentley said it as well when taking the job. It's got us nowhere this season, look how direct Barrow are and they're flying

whilst our 1st goal on Saturday was fairly direct we are probably the best passing team in the league - we play out from the keeper most of the time, just not painfully slow like Fylde do though.... trying to label us as a long ball team is laughable

I never said long ball chipmunx. Read it again, I said direct. Nothing wrong with that so dont be so touchy

Have to agree - that must be an attempted wind up. Aside from Forest Green, I haven't seen a team do the passing game as well as us in this league. It's what our whole tactics are about!
