Big game for Crewe. Not only are we looking to make it seven wins on the spin on home soil, the Macclesfield game also starts the run of playing the bottom 3 sides within the next 4 league games.

Hoping Lowery will be returning the full fitness and back in the side. Apart from that, I can see the team being largely unchanged with the bench looking stronger and stronger each week.

By all accounts, Macclesfield have played well over the season but not quite managed to see games out by picking up a lot of draws but I'm expecting Crewe to run out winners in a 2-1 win.

Expect us to get opened up at the back fairly easily tomorrow. We looked better going forward on tuesday night with a more mobile front two instead of just looking to Ironside holding it up, we actually broke out with the ball at feet instead of chasing it in the air, so may cause some problems ourselves, but realistically this isn't a game we should expect anything from.

Another weekend hoping Stevenage lose is the best we can expect I think. Our goal difference is worth an extra point at the moment though so keeping it tight to a loss by 1 goal wouldn't be the end of the world.

Got to be winning this of we want any hope of making the top 3. I'll take a scruffy 1-0 but it would be nice to win by a few goals.

Should have no new injury concerns, hopefully Powell and Lowery have shaken off their niggles to take part tomorrow.

Got to win this one, but Macc are not as bad as there league position suggests and they will give us a tough game no doubt. Us having no midweek game for a change is nice and will surely benefit us. Hoping Porter can put his awful miss behind him and bag a goal straight away here.

How many Macc fans are expected for the bus route 38 derby?

Comfortable win. Glad Porter got the chance to put that miss out of his head early, but for as good as his hold up play is, which is excellent, it's so frustrating the amount of times he's offside. Very happy for Walker aswell, he was brilliant today and fully deserved his goal and MOTM. Nottingham and Offord are developing a great partnership at the back. They complement each other so well.

That's 7 home wins on the bounce which is excellent, and up to 2nd now after a few results going our way. Good times to be a Crewe fan.

Yep, good day all around. The early penalty was massive, really helped settle things down. As you say, important for Porter to get last week put behind him. His positional and finishing play is erratic, but he's money from the spot.

Glad Walker got a goal after a few misses in the last couple of weeks, he was very good today. Close to a 2nd.

Only thing missing today was the game killing 3rd which would have been deserved. Still, comfortable and keeps the points ticking in. Roll on next Saturday.

Not much to say on the performance. We were stronger than Macc all over the pitch and put a professional performance in. Kirk was immense, Walker impressive, Wintle and Perry also very good. Completely eased off in the second half, took key players off for a rest and saw it out.

Just looked at the odds, 1/5 for automatic promotion, cant think I’ve seen that before. Plenty of games to play and some tough away games. Need to stay focused and keep on going. Good to be 2nd though.

Thought James Jones had another great game since getting back into the side. Did the small things very well including the ball to NG which lead to the penalty. Walker deserved MOM choice, he looks like he's going to be a real asset to Middlesbrough. Thought Wintle was a little sloppy with his passing.

Professional performance all round really with Crewe never really getting out of second gear. Macc had a couple of half chances in the second half but as JJ said, the only thing missing was the game killing 3rd goal.
