Lot of fuss over a new kid on the scene called Bensley, his first release is below:

Sounds a little like Culture Shock to me, but the production is very clean. Interested to see what else is on his album.

Drumsound and Bassline Smith's Wall of Sound is the only album I own by a drum and bass artist/group, I've got a few UKF albums but meh.

First heard Fandango on Friday night and I agree it's tight. Real slick production. RAM have got some really talented producers on their label - personally I'm a big fan of Audio and Rene LaVice's work. Delta Heavy's 'Reborn' I had on repeat for a solid week when that first came out towards the end of last year.

Since we're posting UKF videos, I'm going to upload one of my favourites:

Quite like some of Audio's stuff now you mention it:

And the remix of Swag is pretty cool, was a big fan of the original:

Can't post any as I'm in work but I like most of what Critical release.

The DLR album is also pretty good. Him and Mako are really good together aswell.

Mark Systems album should be good. Been waiting for one of the tracks on it for well over a year.

Timeless, hard to believe it's almost 20 years, and still gets the same love when dropped today

I like the idea of DnB but don't really know where to start listening to get into it enough. Our lass likes a few Wilkinson tracks but I'm guessing they're the equivalent to DnB as pop-diluted house music is to tech?

Yeah pretty much. I prefer the more dark/tech sound.

Critical who I mentioned earlier release some good stuff. Dispatch, Symmetry and metalheadz too. Lots of others out there.

Not a fan of Ram, Hospital etc so much.

Best bet is to get on soundcloud and listen to mixes. I only got into drum and bass three years ago but had a lot of fun finding the particular sound I liked. I'm about six months out of date at the moment.

Enei is easily one if my favourite producers and DJs though. This mix is old but really good memories of listening to it a lot that summer:

This is a good mix too, although a fair bit of RAM and the like in it so some people might not like it. To the DNB newcomer though, it's probably an ok place to start, probably a couple of artists/songs you might recognise.

Would you consider this and the ones below to be drum n bass? I'm not really familiar with the genre to be honest. I just love these songs from the Rafi's Revenge album. This first one doesn't get going until about 1 min into it

They do have the DNB sound to them, certain aspects sound like ragga-jungle. It's definitely another variant of the genre at least imo.
