And will that create trouble with the potential for local thugs getting tickets?

In Stockholm? Really?

Not quite sure why people are debating on Beauvue's action. He's a rubbish who was deemed not good enough to play for Lyon.
Lyon themselves were actually flattered by the 3-1 scoreline last night. Ajax took an early lead but Lyon got 2 goals in quick succession shortly before half-time (Lacazette with a brace, one penalty). Second half was quite uneventful until Ghezzal came on and scored the 3rd with a header. Cornet had the chance to level the score on aggregate but missed.
It's going to be quite a summer at Lyon. A lot of players are incapable of scoring (Lacazette and Valbuena seem to be the only two) and EL seems to be the norm these days for them. With no prospect of CL football, Lacazette and Tolisso should be leaving. They'll be this summer's attractions. Two very good players.

Living in Amsterdam this final is gonna be good fun, it's a huge thing here. Going with a group of friends to Museumplein, should be a great party if Ajax somehow manage to sneak a win. Even people normally not interested in football at all seem to plan on watching.

I'd make United two to one favorites and I have no idea what the bookies say.

I'm half looking forward to this and half dreading it. We have to win this and we bottled nearly every "must win game" when our rivals fucked up in the race for the top four.

I'd be a lot more confident if we had Bailly and Zlatan (our best defender and our best goalscorer) available.

English team vs Dutch team.

Should be clear which team I want to win this (would be different if it was : English team vs D(e)ut(s)ch team :D ). If ManU wins this England will have a fifth CL team (normally only the Spaniards do this) (ok Liverpool still has to qualify but they should do it...I hope)

Good stuff. Lucky deflection but Ajax only have themselves to blame giving it away straight from a throw by their own corner flag like that. Utd so comfortable at the back though overutilising the 70 yard ball to Onana somewhat

Good half - been in total control so far with Ajax having little idea what to do with the possession we've allowed them to have.

Would like to see Rashford and Mkhitaryan put in better performances in the second half, they've been the only two that have disappointed. Mata's been quiet.

We have been shite but i am guessing Jose will be content.

I'd honestly sell Mikhitaryan in the summer if we could get our money back. Looked abysnal against anyone but fodder all season.

Ajax have been awful, like watching England on a bad day. Passing from side to side without a shred of creativity or end product. I switched over when Younus turned away from goal when turning the other way would have put him one on one, if they're going to attempt training ground routines when presented with chances like that they haven't got a prayer. Can't stand Mourinho but he has this Ajax team's number all day long.

FUCK YES!

Tactics were spot on and we didn't bottle it, wow.

Ajax were shite, truth be told. Their two young centre backs can take credit from two good performances but the rest of them were poor.

Well done Man U - not a classic run or final but they got the job done.

Will Arsenal aim to win this next season?

(Or Everton..)

Ecstatic, always wanted to win the Europa league . Was absolutely gutted when we got knocked out by Bilbao years ago.

United clearly the better side over 90 mins, reminded me of those old Arsenal Chelsea games where Wenger would claim they were the better side without ever having a chance.

CL footbal next year huge bonus and I'm saying 2 trophies makes this a better season for us than any other team but Chelsea.

While it's true Ajax were poor on the night, it's clear they've got a hell of a lot of talent in their side. Mourinho just did on a job on them. He just doesn't lose European finals.

Congratulations, Great professional performance from Manchester United, really well organized and the extra experience shone through massively. Ajax were dreadful going forward, too many touches on the ball, lack of width and nobody seemed interested in getting into the box, could have played another 2 weeks and they still wouldn't have scored. Absolutely crimimal first goal to give away, especially from your own throw which made it an uphill task early on. Really impressed with Sanchez and De Ligt though, those 2 will go on and have top class careers, for such young lads as well that was impressive. Caps off what has turned out to be a successful campaign for Man Yoo, a League Cup win, a Europa League win and Champions League qualification. Next season they will definitely want an improved league position.

Must say that Ajax' fans are so fucking c*ntish I didn't half mind them losing, just a shame United won as a result of it. Jesus christ what a bunch of dickheads. Fighting amongst them, shit chants, throwing glass bottles up in the air "for a laugh", had two or three lads come up to me because I was speaking english to my mate on multiple occasions, as if I have to fucking excuse myself to not get my head kicked in. Had to explain I didn't support United to hostile c*nts more times than I could've counted.

Walking up to Museumplein I noticed not one single person brought kids with them, which is a good sign of a shit fanbase almost wherever you go. And the police weren't much better, fucking charging in on horses for no reason making it multiple times worse on several occasions. Just every box ticked for a shit place to be really, which was a shame.

I was there to watch the football and it seemed like I was the only one. Davinson Sanchez man of the match for me, mind you I only managed to watch 25% of it. Cudos to them for setting up the way they did, trying to play but they don't win that match any day of the week. They were far too naive and splitting the centre backs with absolutely nobody coming down in the space I can't remember the last time I saw. Felt very, very outdated but works well in the Dutch league I guess. The amount of times the Ajax centre backs had no good pass to make was horrible to watch, and they gave away a lot of possession through only that. By the 70th minute it was amazing that they kept on doing it.

United didn't really have to try, did they. Ajax didn't have the quality and it showed from the first minute to the last. I have to say Pogba scores a lot of important goals for being so criticized. He's arguably the best central midfielder in the Premier League for me (through some lack of competition, granted), but it might take someone to break his transfer record before people care to notice.

Amsterdam now is it? How many cities have you lived in now? Enjoying the green stuff?

This made me smile for some reason. United were winning real trophies a couple of years back. (Not having a go either.)

Well I don't know. A shitload it feels like. I live where I dig, and I dig where there's dirt. Not enough dirt in Sweden to keep me fully occupied I guess.

Only trophy I had never seen United win, so it had special significance for my generarion of football fans who grew up before the devaluation of anything but the league and European cup but were still too young to remember the CWC victory iver barcelona.
