Quick question - how is it decided who enters at extra preliminary stage? I can see most step 4 teams are not there, but it can't be on league position as Bracknell finished 2nd in their division last year.

This is something I was confused about as well. Bedford finished in the play-offs in our league and started in this round, while we finished 11th but aren't entering until the Preliminary Round in two weeks. I'm assuming it's at least somewhat tied to progress made last season, as we did get to the 2nd Qualifying Round last year.

In any case, we're away at Sutton Coldfield Town in the Preliminary Round, a game which the players have been told is an absolute must-win (for financial reasons) after we once again floundered in the FA Cup.

Disappointed to see us lose 2-1 to Sutton Coldfield Town and go out at the first hurdle. Not surprised, mind you, as we seem to be wholly allergic to any kind of cup run in FA competitions (at least since our run to the 4th Round of the Vase five seasons ago).

Found myself at Wingate & Finchley today for what was a close contest, partially because neither team was very good (the amount of basic missed chances was astonishing, especially in the second half), but also because of the constant downpour making conditions very difficult.

Wingate's goal was great, though, and certainly the highlight of an otherwise dismal afternoon.

Have no idea if we are in the southern or northern section, but I might as well say it now given how this season has gone so I look forward to Workington away in 2 weeks time.

Doh. I'd love to win the trophy again, I know it means nothing to the ex league sides. But to us its the only thing we can really aim for

No problems, we beat them yesterday at York anyway,.. we only get away draws, we have not played at home now for weeks and weeks !
Suspect York wont take trophy seriously, we might not either?

Hope you enjoyed the magnificent art-deco stand there, the earliest example of a cantilevered sports stand and now a listed building.

Colne away for us. Far better than playing Farsley again. It appears the FA may have actually done a proper draw for once!

BPA at home. Hopefully they couldn't give a stuff about this competition and bring the youth team

Chippenham at home. Third time in four FA qualifying draws this season we've pulled opponents from our own division.

How many teams have agreed to settle the tie on the day?
York v Alty will go to extra time & pens if level.
Saves Alty a possible mid week replay before they head to Pompey.

Can't see anywhere about our game ending on the day. Hopefully making my first journey up to Curzon.
