Early kick off due to Notts police hating Mansfield. So much so they wanted to palm them off to Yorkshire! (Jk)

Anyway putting this up now so Spanish can excite himself for a full week.

Ardley first game after the pointless (unless you win) Checkwhyyouratthisgame trophy at Sunderland. I expect a different more direct game so Stead being back is paramount. He's fit so the front line should be Stead and Dennis maybe Hemmings in there too with Allesandra who should all be fit.

We normally lose so us Pies expect it, who knows! Over to the man in the stand Spanishstag.

More 1pm due to the disorder from the last fixture and numerous incidents which led to multiple fans from both sides being banned.

Not attending this game to watch Mansfield get their easiest 3 points of the season while our bunch of frauds masquerade as professional footballers. 1pm kick off get treated like utter shit by the police and stewards is bad enough when we arnt second bottom.

Fully behind Ardley and will be behind him once the inevitable annual defeat at Mansfield is out the way. Will say 4-0.

I’ve decided to get a ticket, no idea why.

We all know how this goes. Our players melt under the hint of pressure so fully expect us to come away empty handed. Hopefully we will have a few more players back and fit while also not playing people out of position would be nice for a change

Excellent, accurate humourous comments once again from my fellow pies#cutabove

I will be betting on Mansfield as usual, easy money for me , easy points for them. The only question is how many. Stags have a clearly talented squad for the second season in a row, in great form, great home record , historically win this game by a margin and usually get up for this local game and overperform versus us! Which means current awful form, no confidence, new manager with nowhere near enough time to impact the squad/side who bizarrely never seem interested in this game.

Wasteful Stags vs a Pies side that allow record number of attempts on goal. If Mansfailed score early and take their chances it could be a record breaking 3 points.

But once this shambles , sorry game is over I am fully climbing aboard the Neal Ardley bandwagon. Aiming for safety, aiming for football league status. It’s not aiming high but i’ll take it.

Just can't be bothered to go, the team haven't been bothering for the most part so neither can I.
Carlisle, Cheltenham, Morecambe, Oldham, the list of inept performances against poor to average teams the last few weeks has got me to the point of booing them off the pitch last Tuesday.
Truly hope Ardleys first act as manager is to boot Chettle out the place after his cowardly performance as caretaker manager where he hid in the dugout before bringing on a fifth defender for the last ten minutes.

Home win, lump on.

Early kick off lump on the home win it's the biggest cert of the day! Know I will be having a good few quid on the home win to soften the blow.

Really we should not have to overperform against nutts ,our normal game under flitcroft should be enough against a conference bound team but its a derby so who knows you have to win against us eventually

Mansfailed nearly always overperform against Notts especially at home. Even when we are in a healthier position, riding high, with lots of confidence we go to Field MFI and curl up into a little ball and get our asses handed to us. Used to be infuriating but it’s gone well beyond that now, just expected.

Sadly Football isn’t like roulette, it’s not a 50:50 each spin of the wheel each match. Past history/records count in football.

Home win, lump on. Win cash and then we are all on the Ardley bandwagon to safety

A classic onefootballforum pre match post haha

Followed by the actual expected thumping home win, and the usual post match comments that they couldn’t believe how bad the opposition were.

Seen it a hundred times before, something’s never change

Little bro are once again going to step up and give their big bro another bloody nose as they do twice a season every season.

We should score one so i’ll Predict 4-1 home win as the new manager will keep the score line at least sensible

Got to be hopeful for this one lads, (another) new manager, local derby, and er must win there sometime, typical for Notts if we did it when we’re rubbish. Should have beaten McDongs, so can go to the better teams and do alright.

Away win written all over it for me 5/1 thanks very much.

If only.

To be fair, being 5/1 to beat fucking Mansfield should be reason enough to just pack up and go home.

So true. I doubt that in all our 156 year history we have ever been such big underdogs with the bookmakers when playing Mansfield. A low point no doubt about it but in betting and current footballing terms it’s absolutely bang on. Bookmakers arent interested in illustrious pasta or otherwise , just on current form

County fans don't half like to live in the past with their 150 or whatever year history  For your sakes, I just hope you can keep that 'world's oldest football league club' sign up on the Jimmy Sirrel stand next season. I'm quite content with the spireites being down there.

As for the game, I know county are on poor form at the moment but Ardley (the next manager or the one after that before the season ends) could soon change this, especially with the new manager effect.

We're not exactly high scorers. In the league, we've only scored 3 or more goals 3 times. In 11 games we've either scored 1 or not scored at all and have been draw specialists for most of the season. However, we are on a good form at the moment and can hopefully continue this past the Notts game.

It's a derby, so form can quite often go out of the window. As mentioned, County should have the new manager effect. On paper they've got some good players (but there again, so have we), even if they are massively underachieving and got a £3 million wage budget to boot :£ They've got to loose that voodoo against us at some point or another. Though not this Saturday, thanks.

I can't see us thrashing County. I'll plump for maybe 1-0 or 2-1 to little old (but not as old Notts) Mansfield.

And the award for the most predictable post in this match thread goes to Amber Nectar :bravo:. Bravo sir bravo, so many cliches. Only thing missing was a joke prediction of a Draw or even a Stags defeat ! But bar that, a superb effort.

If the new manager with a severely injury hit and completely out of form squad who historically (sorry I know Stags fans hate to be reminded of their bleak uninspiring club history unless it involves beating their bigger Nottinghamshire counterparts) never win this game can achieve a hue turnaroud without a competitive game and only just over a week with a squad he doesn’t know , then Neil Ardley isn’t a manager he’s a magician

We are indeed going to win, draw or most likely loose ! :ffs:

Don't you just the love the arrogance of Notts fans, we're bigger than you :ffs: I was actually trying to give a (fairly) balanced view. :sur:

And thank you for the award, Viking. This actually means very little, coming from you

Enzo, I have predicted a stags win, not a draw nor a loss.

Youpies, I genuinely think records are there to be broken. Whether it us (stags), County or anyone else. Just because you don't normally win somewhere, doesn't mean you can't win now or in the future. How very defeatist. However, I quite happy for this record to stay as it.

And as for the little brother remark, isn't this what Forest call you guys

For season after season I read Stags fans defeatist attitude whenever they were due to play Accrington. Now I wonder why that was

A very poor and sadly predictable post but if not you, some other member of the Amber sorry I mean Yellllloooowwwww army would of posted very similar. So it’s to be expected as I say it was almost the perfect cliche post.

Forest are our big brother for sure, I believe they have been for 60-70 years. A lot of clubs have a nearby big brother :shifty:

Be interesting to see how many of the currently injured pies are back available for this game

FYI - ‘we never win against Mansfield and won’t this time’ or ‘we haven’t been beaten by county in years so it’s gotta happen this time’

Same coin, different side. You drongos.

The three amigos are unfortunately collectively making the actual football chat a secondary subject, all three of ya are in a vicious circle.
