Our stadium will probably be getting renamed at some point soon, our owners have confirmed. Guessing we'll be looking to generate £1m+ per season for the sponsorship. Just hopefully we don't end up with a terrible name..
Rule is that you have to change your forum name to the new stadium name if/when it happens...

;)

Trying to think what would be the worst stadium name of all....

A million quid for naming your stadium is money for nothing, but it could be so embarrassing. Our main responses are Suzuki, I could handle that but what if it was Wonga or something similar. I think I'd rather do without the money!

I think it all depends on the previous name. If you've got a pretty new ground then it's likely the name is pretty shite anyway.

I can't imagine people being too upset about losing "Madjeski stadium" even if it is for something just as horrid.

As long as it's not a terrible name I don't care. Equally won't care if we name one of the stands after Sir John. Would be a good time to name all of the stands really.. Stand names can stay the same throughout history but the stadium name can change.

Imagine it'll be some Thai product, the amount of money we are getting in commercial deals thanks to our Thai owners is amazing. Rumoured that our kit sponsorship doubled over the Summer thanks to them finding us companies in Thailand willing to invest.

I was told that two of our stands are named after generous benefactors.

The North Bank is named after Neville North, who played for us from 1959 to 2007. By the end of his career he was really crap but was still quicker than Karl Henry. He raised £7m to buy Aston Martins for his favourite charity, The Conservative MPs Benevolent Fund.

And the South Bank, by a quirk of fate, was named after Eric Bank, who urinated non-stop for 3 months after we won the Sherpa Van Trophy.

Started yesterday with the South stand (where away fans go) renamed to the 888sport South Stand.

I don't want the stadium name and stands to all be renamed by sponsors though. Either keep the stadium name or have decent stand names.

Alex Hales starting songs in the away end last night... Would explain him getting out first thing this morning, heard he was toasted!

Bloody hell. He was friends with my nan when she was young and he went to her house along with Finney and a few others when she turned 100. RIP.

We have changed the main sign on the Braemar Road stand at Griffin Park, I'm sure you'll all be thrilled to know. Quite why we have bothered when we are moving out in two or three years is beyond me.

Don't really understand why they did it. I'm guessing the new signage has been designed with the new stadium in mind so they can just lift and shift it. Was hoping they'd bring the old lettering with them to be honest, adds a nice bit of nostalgia.

Surely this deserves its own thread, where you can post a picture from a different viewpoint every day?

Finally bought out some land owned by Bearwood golf course for our new training facilities.

Been a long time coming this, was talked about years ago but nice to finally get it done. Important in our progression and also in retaining category 1 youth level.

£4million for the land and apparently £10m to build the facilities. Planning already approved. Hoping to be available by the 2017/18 season.

Huge news coming from Wolves

Steve Morgan puts the club up for sale and steps down from the board. Seems like there has been a lot of tension after the shit transfer window we had.

Very surprised to see him leave, only last week he said he wanted to stay at Wolves for life

Excellent. I shall sell Afobe in January, keep that money for myself, and then sell up.

Hope we go for someone who invests in the team. Think it's probably for the best that Morgan is leaving, he's been a good servant to the club but for me we need someone who will show more ambition.

There seem to be a lot of odd decisions being made at Championship clubs today...

I bid 75p and promise to invest a further 50p in the squad.

Oh and I'd appoint Steve Evans head of catering.

Excuse my ignorance, but where exactly is Bearwood?

I think it's classed as Wokingham, but almost as close to Winnersh.

Apparently a lot of our players who don't live in London live very close to there too.

What a cracking tune. :ffs:

Bet Noel Gallagher can't believe he didn't come up with something like this.
