Those goal times can't be accurate surely? (or does it mean 45 minutes are goals in the first half and 90 minutes are goals in the second?)
There must’ve been a lot of injury time in both halves I guess. ;) Yeah it must just mean in first half and then second half.
Incidentally that Burnley one was in the same season that we beat them 6-5 at Blundell Park, they must’ve been fun to watch that season.

These high scoring games reminds me of a 9 goal thriller we were involved in at Hartlepool many years ago, that was a fun Friday night that was.

We’re playing tonight at BRovers. We’re already out of this abomination so avoiding injuries is all that matters

We’ve got a cracker of a side out. Be good to see some players we never knew actually existed.

If they’d just fuck the Prem U21 teams off but leave the rest of this competition as it is with all local fixed groups then it would actually be a great competition to be in.

Tbf, I’m actually looking forward to watching this on iFollow. Mish mash of players and a young ‘un making his debut.

They should invite Italian sides in instead. Wouldn't mind a midweek jaunt or two.

Been there done that, good old Anglo Italian cup and games at outposts like Ancona and Cesena

The most exotic place we got to travel to in it was Barnsley.

Weird when we were in it you had a group of 4 English teams playing a group of 4 Italians so all the English teams played 4 group games 2 home and 2 away V the Italians the top two English and top two Italians went to the regional semis where you played two legs against English teams and a regional final against the winner of the other English Semi then the overall final against the winner of the Italian section.

Unlucky in that Genoa are a pretty big club in Italian standards although we drew 0-0 in the group!

The Anglo Italian cup became a competition after we won the league cup in 69, EUFA wouldn't allow a 3rd division club into the intercity fairs cup, so they organised a two legged affair against the Italian cup winners, AS Roma who we beat, and won a trophy.
The Italian's liked the idea of playing against English teams, that the next pre- season the Anglo Italian cup came into being with some of the great Italian teams playing in it .
We were drawn against Juventus and Napoli, we beat Juventus home and away 4-0 at home and 1-0 away lost at home to Napoli 1-0 then beat them at their place by the same score.
With our results we were top of the English half of competition, with Naples the winners of the Italian half.
The final was played in Italy, in front of 55000 , Swindon cruised into a 3-0 lead, the Italian fans were not happy and so rioted, causing the game to be abandoned in the 79th minute....we were awarded the cup

We were already out before we played BRovers. Played with entire team changed from Saturday - not sure on the rules, but who gives a shit. Lost 1-0 to a strong Rovers XI, so not a bad result considering.

With a bit more effort the attendance could have been below 1000, but 63 oddities scuppered that.

That team we put out last night was jokes! Love the fact we took off 2 first teamers on 8 and 14 minutes!

U21 premier league football is a joke. We would be better off playing our U21 side against teams like Tiverton or Weston Super Mare. None of those west ham players will make it in the professional game.

Easy win for us during your cup final

Haha only joking - I expect you'll get a fine for that. You best do anyway, we were given one a couple of years ago for doing the same thing - we made the 5 changes as per the rules and then subbed the GK and received a fine for it. Fucking EFL c*nts.

From what I saw on iFollow it looked an even first half with us really controlling the 2nd - although, who really cares?

Last night did make me check the L2 table though, glad to see so many local teams doing well - fingers crossed 4 of you can come up this season, it's fucking lonely up here - Coventry are our closest game ffs

You only need to play four players who’ve either played the last game or had 40 apps in their career at EFL, hence how we made 11 changes Tuesday.

Ah, thanks. You’d have thunk Ryan Lowe would be thanking us for, essentially, knocking them out last night.

But, oh no. He has to whinge about the inequality of it all.

Oh, the pain. The pain!
