The Walsall away end holds approx 2000, the bit up the right hand side can hold another 1000/1500+ which was empty up to the half way line on Saturday?
They only had 3500 (ish) themselves on Saturday, maybe that's what they are concerned about?

They have nothing to play for so may as well cash on the potential extra £20k or so... sounds like we are trying to negotiate with them to get more.

The difference is, you've been top 3 most of the season pal. We've been mid table. Don't even try and compare yourselves to us. You can't even bring 2,000 to Vale Park ffs. Absolutely laughable.

Walsall almost sold out. So piss that one off.

Swindon? Even I didn't go that which says something.

Northampton is a dull away day.

If we carry on our current form and can reduce the gap to the top 3 by the time you visit us in March, we could get a crowd that matches your capacity ffs.

The only thing that’s wank is your obsession with us, your like Piers Morgan slobbering over Megan Markle. Odd you don’t mention your own opposition on Saturday and that despite being a couple of place off automatic promotion they took to you less than half what we took to Plymouth, that’s not me having a dig at Colchester as it was a toss day weather wise, but just me saying our away attendances are not as bad you make out, Fair play on the following you are taking to Walsall, much better than the 400 you took their last time for an important relegation 6 pointer. :D

You do prove on thing though, that there are 3 types of Vale/Alex fans. The type like me who accept we have a rivalry but only get worked up about this in or around derby day, then there are those on both sides who make out it’s not a rivalry despite what over a 100 years of history dictates, and then there are those like you who have no balance, slam the other side at any cost and who throw stats around that end making themselves look like an arsehole when the stats are torn to shreds.

I've always thought our support at Vale park has been fairly good, certainly more than you usually bring to Cleethorpes. Hopefully we'll still be 'on a high' come Good Friday and our following will be a decent amount.
It's better than we bring to you but I've seen you take 900 say to Stevenage and then say 500 to us which is closer , we had the ridiculous over kill from the Police about 2 years ago and you maybe had 400
It wasn't a criticism merely point out I've seen some ridiculous big following from you on here and a merely decent support at Vale

That’s funny as the first thing I did as I walked up to my seat on Saturday was turn and look at the away end and said ‘that’s fucking pathetic’.

Wrong again my dear neighbour. I credited your backing of Artell and your enjoyable style of football. I also said you were unlucky to lose at Plymouth.

Do carry on though.

Our support is decent but when you see the support from Plymouth and Grimsby ( apart from when they come Vale ) ours is bang average.
Our away support is excellent but I’d say Plymouth’s is on another level to anybody else in this league, some extraordinary numbers given the distances they travel.

I am going to put it out there that i wouldn’t be averse to both Vale and Crewe going up. If Stoke go down their meltdown would be hilarious.

Extra 900 tickets for Walsall have been provided so if sell out will be a 2350 following which would be our biggest league following of the season.

To be fair they have less home fans than we do though? This is why I never get Firthy tugging over Bradford's away support... its bare minimum that you take on average 1 in every 14 fans surely.

I challenge you to find one post where you genuinely believe I was “tugging” over our support - home or away. :fl::fish:

Good to see us and Walsall come to an agreement on the extra tickets for Saturday. Makes sense all round. Got about 500 of them left so I would imagine they will all be gone by Thursday.

Pretty impressive following if we sell the lot. Never known us to travel in huge number to Walsall.

Opening day in 2004 we took loads but generally we’ve only taken average numbers there for the distance.

Less than 500 left for Walsall after 400 went in the couple of hours they were on sale today. Set to be our fifth sell out away crowd of the season, Salford (1400) Macclesfield (1800) Crewe (2263) and Man City (8000) good to see the fans flocking back after the horrors of Smurfs era. Keep in the play off picture during the run in and hopefully get some decent followings for some of the further games such as Cheltenham, Oldham and Cambridge.

Still not as good as the 1005 to Salford the other Tuesday Night which for distance travelled and mid week will take some beating.

Hang on, it's actually called Banks's stadium?

Banks's?

Christ.

Its not the worst, Johnny Rock's Stadium , The People Pensions Stadium...

Vale Park will always be Vale Park to me regardless of any naming rights (if ever given away)

No no no no no you guys don't understand.

Banks's should be Banks'. Who's named that, fucking gollum? Dirty filthy sneaky banks's'ses.

Only Smallsall could misspell their own ground name for decades.
If you’re after info on Banks then Tom Pope is the man to go to, I believe he mentioned them in a recent Twitter post.

I believe both Banks' and Banks's is acceptable. I am no English expert but we actually had this conversation at work recently and both could be used. A quick look on a famous search engine brought this info back.

1. Use an apostrophe + S ('s) to show that one person/thing owns or is a member of something.

  • Amy's ballet class, Lisa's car, Robert's car, Ross's room, Ross's sports teams
Yes, even if the name ends in "s," it's still correct to add another "'s" to create the possessive form. It is also acceptable to add only an apostrophe to the end of singular nouns that end in "s" to make them possessive. In this case, you can show possession for Ross either way:

  • Ross'
  • Ross's
