Cook force a move again then? the blokes attitude stinks literally downed tools for us after Keates was sacked.

Yeah deffo hints of attitude problems but it all boiled down to the fact the manager doesn’t want to play him because he’s never going to be fit enough to press for 90 minutes.

Doyle is gutted that our treble your wages move for him fell through, player was absolutely inconsolable apparently. Photos with scarf and shirt were done and everything, but a fuck up on timings, people being in the wrong place and wrong time meant it couldn’t go through before the deadline.

Apparently we’ve promised him that the offer will still stand in the summer so encouraged him to sign with Swindon but only for 6 months so he can get his dream move in June.

Busy deadline day for us!

Ins:

Kurtis Guthrie - ST - Stevenage - Undisclosed fee
Lee Novak - ST - Scunthorpe - Undisclosed fee
Dylan Mottley-Henry - RM - Barnsley - Free
Glen Middleton - LW - Rangers - Loan

—-
I know nothing about Guthrie. Novak is a capable striker at this level. DMH was apart of our youth a few seasons ago, can’t see him playing much. However, Middleton from Rangers looks a real coupe. Very highly rated.

Out:

Omari Patrick - ST - Carlisle United - Undisclosed fee
Eoin Doyle - ST - Swindon - Undisclosed Fee
James Vaughan - ST - Tranmere - loan/undisclosed fee.
Arimide Oteh - ST - recalled by QPR.
Matty Palmer - CM- Recalled by Rotherham and sold to Swindon.

—-

I’m amazed we even got a fee for Omari, but can see him doing OK at Carlisle. Doyle and Vaughan have been talked about enough. Oteh recalled by QPR was a strange one. He did ok as an impact sub. Palmer was absolutely dogshit, but he’ll obviously play out of his skin at Swindon.

Overall, relatively pleased that we have got some bad apples out of the camp. This along with the sacking of Bowyer leaves me feeling quietly confident of achieving at least the play-offs this season.

We brought in strikers, Eion Doyle on a permanent, striker Jerry Yates on loan and Matt Palmer a midfielder from Rotherham on a permanent.
Doyle will be devastated then as he was really happy at Bradford according to FIRTHY’s mate.

Recalled him, they submitted a bid - we declined. Eventually signed for Swindon following an improved bid.

Financially speaking, Swindon played right into our hands.

Tee-hee.

In the grande scheme of things, I couldn’t give two fucks if he was, is or isn’t happy.

Disappointed we didnt bring a centre back in as we only have 2 fit ones and if anything happens to legge or brisley then I dont know who would fill in there.

Does Gnahoua often score belters like against us? If he does can see some being in for him at the end of the season.
No he most definitely doesn't! To be brutally honest his end product is pretty poor. He's a talented lad but isn't the most lethal. We actually had him a number of years ago when he was 18/19 and you could see there was a player but wasnt cut out for the rough and tumble of the conference but then shone in the league below and got a move to Shrewsbury. The fact he's fluttered about on loans here and there since shows he's not quite good enough for any higher than bottom of league 2 in my opinion.

Not forgetting Hallam Hope and the fantastically named Admiral Mukwere from Leicester. Tbh, if we don’t get an auto spot with our squad my cock’s a kipper.

We managed to fuck up with a much better squad two seasons going, so anything is possible.

I know nothing about Guthrie.

On his day he can be excellent at this level. He's tall but not a target man, and with the ball at his feet he can be surprisingly nimble. When he hit a bit of form in his first season with us he went on quite the goal spree, but he picked up a bad injury around February time I think it was and was out for the best part of a year.

However, his days can be few and far between. His attitude is appalling and he'll spend most of his time waving his arms about in a strop. He's always pretty unplayable against us though, so I'm sure he'll have a blinder in April and score a couple.

David Worrall is close to signing a new 2 year contract amid rumours of interest from Northampton and Mansfield. Massive one to get signed up and hopefully the first of the rest of the key players signing up for next year.

Worrall now confirmed on 2 year extension. Absolutely fantastic have managed to secure his future here.

We have an option to extend Scott Burgess deal too so that looks certain to be triggered. He has been the surprise of the season for me, first summer signing has been on loan at York I think and didn't seem to be anything more than a squad filler but he's become so good we've hardly missed Manny as much as we thought.

A surprising deadline day for us. I can't believe we managed to get a fee for Novak, he is terrible. However, it leaves us with only Van Veen (who is quality) and George Miller (who is one of the worst strikers weve ever had). We lost Matty Lund as well, great player who has underperformed for a while though. We brought in Ben Liddle and Devarn Green, no idea about either of them.

Which absolute masters of football finance in transfer dealing would possibly have done that?

Paying a fellow divisional rival a fee for a top scoring striker? Hahahahahahahahahaha

One of which who didn’t want to be here - costing £5k per week. Sorry, I didn’t realise that there was only one promotion place.

Maybe next year.

I meant, that's something that we don't know all about. Keep up please. There are obviously three more spots, but you won't get one of them. I told you that in pre-season.

This weird Bradford - Swindon ‘thing’ needs to stop.

Mostly because it’s shite, being back the Mansfield-Notts-Lincoln-Grimsby love affair.

I agree, its boring as hell. Annoyingly in our matchday thread on Saturday people kept mentioning everytime Bradford conceded, as if they are some kind of massive rival or something!

Scott Burgess has signed a 2 year contract extension after impressing this season. Delighted he has been the surprise of the season for us.

Good to see us getting players signed up early for once!

Darron Gibson the latest to join the Salford Gravy Train... strange one possibly as he hasn’t had a club since the summer!
