United are awful. Liverpool look far more likely to score

The clueless look on the face of Giggs - so out of his depth.

Rashford has been lively if a little raw but he's dealt with him much better than the Arsenal centre backs did.

Speaking of central defenders I feel sorry for Smalling having to cover for Blind every week - no wonder he's beginning to look jaded.

Deservedly the better side over two legs. Thought Liverpool played it well this tie and dominated us in the first.

Worst of luck in the next round.

been a good few days for you salty. by my count this result means you now have 11 of your "closely supported" teams playing in the next round of european fixtures. congrats and well done mate.

Once Liverpool scored the tie really was over.

Man U lacked any ideas after that.

Got to hedge your bets sometimes mate you know, spread it out for the eventual glory hunting :D

The Man United bias on the ITV highlights is disgraceful btw, Sam Shitface sounded like he was residing over a post mortum when Liverpool came through the tie, both teams are English surely he should show some joy for one of them? Also showing the Govan drunkard jizzing his knickers at the penalty then not going back to him when Liverpool equalised is scandalous.

No Spear or Toddles again I see. You get the feeling they only post when Liverpool get beat. Surprised at Spear though, his beloved Man Utd (or so he says as his first game he attended was a Liverpool game) played last night and I thought he'd be on with a witty reposte. Oh well.

He's still thinking of something witty to say.

Great result for us. Quality goal from Coutinho..,he really does step up in big games. Other than that I don't think we particularly played well. Sakho, Lovren and Can were immense. Henderson ( maybe playing with injury?) and Clyne were poor for us.

United were better compared to their performance at Anfield but still looked clueless. Martial was the only good player. He will become some player with right team mates and a good manager.

Hopefully we don't get Dortmund next round!

Other than that....

Liverpool comfortably deserved it over the 2 legs. Shame about crowd trouble at the end.

Such a fucking anticlimax. Fuck the away goals rule, killed it by half-time. Also United being terrible in the first leg didn't help.

The worst bit is the vocal element demanding van Gaal be sacked has been beaten into indifference. The fans have been cucked by Woodward.

Its clear to me the board have written this season off. So should the fans.

OK LVG is wank but the real problem at Man Utd is the lack of a replacement for David Gill and the utterly clueless board.

The most concerning thing is the board. You can only blame van Gaal so much for being out of touch, the people keeping him in charge have been the liable ones for months. The future looks bleak with them in charge.

Dortmund comfortably dicked the side sitting 2nd in the Premier League playing 3 at the back. Maybe LVG should have had the balls to stick with his philosophy.
