I disdain for Ollie Sykes means I could never enjoy BMTH. Shame really, they're really talented musicians.
Look past it, I managed to do it. The bloke is a grade A cnut, but he can write some fantastic songs.

We robbed a bottle of his Grey Goose at Leeds fest a couple of years ago, take that Sykes you smug nobhead.

More than 50% of what Metallica has released has been utter dog shit, though.

Kill 'Em All is a brilliant metal album, my favourite Metallica record by far, then there is the string of really popular albums they released in the mid to late 80s which are mostly very good. Everything after the self titled album, and a few tracks included on it actually, is piss poor though.

I don't like all their songs. For example, I find the song One very overrated. Some of their best songs though are one of the best in metal. Like Master of Puppets for example.

Gotten really in to bands such as Carcass, Obituary, Napalm Death, Testament, Exodus, Exhorder and Death recently. Saw the former 3 at a sold out gig in Kentish Town last week, one of the best gigs i've ever been to all 3 were outstanding live.

Napalm Death, whilst I'm not a fan you have to appreciate what they've done for metal on a whole. Without them there'd be no death metal or grindcore.

They also made season 5 of Skins watchable.

Lamb of God should be quality tomorrow night, can't wait. Also going to see Deftones next weekend at the same venue and Slipknot in February. I love their new album so it will be great to see them live.

Damn Deftones have cancelled the rest of their European tour, they were at the venue in Paris 15 minutes before the attack.

Lamb of God were awesome last night, they are always spot on live. Thought they stole the show from Megadeth although I'm not a huge Megadeth fan myself.

Gutted but understandable that they want to get back to their families given what a close call they had.

Same view as me, was much more excited to see Lamb of God than Megadeth.

LoG never play "The Faded Line" live which is always a bummer, definitely in my top 5 LoG songs.

Yeh completely understandable. Maybe they can reschedule it as a warm up for their summer festivals next year.

Should hopefully have some stuff recorded fairly soon. The guitarist I'm working with has written some stuff in some fucking weird time signatures so it's rather tricky. Good work in progress though. :)

The sound of the U.K. Underground

Yes mate! Love Medulla Nocte....and Labrat and Matter and earthtone9 and Narcosis and Beecher and Iron Monkey and Bumsnogger and Onedice and Gutworm and Johnny Truant and Eden Maine and Nine Days to No-one.

UK metal underground was phenomenal.
