Any danger of Grimsby appointing anyone? How many days is it now since Jolley was sacked?!
No, one of my lads friends at school is Fenty’s Nephew and he said he is hoping that Limbrick will come good so that he can give him the job.

From fourth in League One to nowhere in League Two. The mind boggles. Or maybe just the wallet.

Slightly offended the final nail in Dempster’s coffin was a draw away at Crewe. They weren’t even bad today, had at least 4 golden chances and should have won really.

Flitcroft didn’t get that, but he did get quite a bit to sign 6 players, and he still fucked it up.

Like I posted in the L1 forum.....

https://www.bristolpost.co.uk/sport/football/exclusive-graham

Reading this, the factors seem to be a lack of funds down south, poor training facilities and the distance from his Sheffield home.

He’s got a top L2 squad (albeit embarrassingly underperforming) a brand new training ground, under a hour from home and I’d speculate more money too, at least equal.

I’m not saying it’s the correct decision for him (if true) but these seem to be the likely motivation factors?

Manager’s graveyard. Right decision, though.

It's a bit of an easy winner for him too. Even if he missed out on the play-offs next year he could just argue that the team wasn't as good as we thought it was and move on to another job.

Edit: Assuming we don't get relegated this season!

Yet another new manager that we will be first game or first home game for! Think that’s 5 now this season!

Will he not be in charge on Saturday against us then if he does take the job?

They at home? Possibly then... assumed they’d be away with us at home the following game being Xmas fixtures.

He seems like a bit of a tool, moaning about lack of funds. This is Bristol Rovers!
I would have thought that if he had any confidence in keeping them in the playoffs this would result in him being looked at by bigger, championship clubs, of which there are loads close to Sheffield.
Maybe he thinks the bubble is about to burst and is looking for an easy way out.

He was probably promised stuff that didn’t happen. Talk of them having to sell in January. Owners full of BS, I reckon.

Graham Westley back to Stevenage CONFIRMED.
Oh fuck, he is too. I just thought it was a joke.

Would be rather poetic if having got them both their promotions to L2 and L1, he also oversaw both relegations back from L2 to non-league. How long now before Maamria quits Oldham to go back as Westley's assistant?

I thought this was a joke, at least we’ve played them at home so will be less cheaty than usual being at their place when we face them.

Wasn’t it Newport he nose dived to the brink of non league?

If he took them down I don’t think many would shed a tear. Horrible teams every single season who do everything and anything to try and cheat. Under Westley it was infamous, against us they were worse under Maamria.

Even before the EFL years we had the “pleasure” of an FA Cup draw against them and even then it all kicked off as Tommy Fraser called them Cocky from the top down... thankfully they were sent packing despite their arrogance about the replay, Fraser sadly banned but managed to square up to Mark Roberts from the stand.

Pope has already tweeted about it of course today after his rants about rather ending his career then ever play for a club like that after their antics in April.

Westley's recent managerial record is pretty terrible. He also seems quite a deluded sort of bloke. Not sure why Stevenage think this is a good move. Good news for Morecambe.

He was at Rodney Parade yesterday sitting amongst the very small following of Stevenage supporters.
