We play Orient on Tuesday, rearranged from FA Cup third round weekend when we were too busy THUMPING Burton. Orient are struggling, and we’re going well at the moment. Tempted to say this is the sort of game that trips us up.

Not making the trip myself, a bit too tricky on a Tuesday night for me.

Macc away for us. Not a happy hunting ground at all. We've never won there in the league albeit only 4 games (2 losses and 2 draws) our recent record when backed by a large away following is also pants, and we had sold over 900 on Friday so after the win yesterday that will surely be over 1000 now.

Surely this has to be our best chance though, Macc in abit of disarray even if there league form has not been disastrous.

Macclesfield 1-2 Crewe (Ironside, Anene, Kirk) 2540 (1200 Crewe)

A game between two massive sides, it will be interesting to see which giants come out on top or will they cancel each other out. Orient yesterday were surprisingly poor with their corners considering how many 6ft 5 monsters there was to aim at.

Big Tuesday night tbh. It's a game in hand and the whole 3rd-9th bunching situation makes me nervous. Win this and cement our top 3 position. Form a coalition with Exeter and Swindon and fuck the rest of the league off.

Can't see us troubling you too much. However, if Kirby (suspended for when we were supposed to play) scores the winner then Artell's head might explode.

Can see a super 0-4 reversal for Orient. Should get the fans turning on the players at last.

Col U v Bradford - Draw
Orient v Cobblers - Home win
Macc v Crewe - Home win

That's the desired results from my viewpoint at least.

Apathy has well and truly set in with us, 1 win 16 games since October and with someone in charge who is carrying the can now for our boards poor decision making and whom doesn't want to be a manager.

Personally I'd just go back to 4-4-2 and see if we can do any better using that because having Angol up front on his on and isolated isn't working.

I don't have an issue with Josh Wright, but I'd like to see him rested to see if we can perform any better without him.

Very hard to see us getting anything against an in form Northampton, I can't fault the players efforts but we are so shit out of possession I just expect us to concede goals nearly every attack we come up against. We're still good for creating chances generally as we have talented players, but in the last 4 weeks we've stopped converting those chances and we just keep narrowly losing games. Not been thumped since Plymouth in October, we're due one of those.

If we somehow manage just our 4th away win of the season tomorrow night at Colchester (highly unlikely) and Crewe somehow get turned over at Macc, we’ll be 3rd. :pmsl:

Fuck me, this league is dog shit!

*northampton will lose at Orient.

With out style of play its very rare that we dominate games. The other team will have the odd chance, we are just fortunate at times that teams have fluffed their lines and we have been clinical.

Orient fans will look back on the game today and think, Cobblers are rubbish, we should have got something out of that, but if we keep winning then i dont care.

Expect an aerial bombardment towards Vadaine Oliver and then we will play off of him from there. It wont be pleasing on the eye, but its effective. We could scrape into an automatic promotion spot tonight, which whilst it means nothing in January, would be a boost to all.

Can we compromise at three draws? Ideally I’d like Northampton and Crewe to win but will meet you half way.

Wait, you're asking for 2 strugglers to lose? I know you were dross on Saturday, but things aren't that bad are they?

As I said in the promotion thread, performance is irrelevant. Just win.

Things are bad, yes. We’ve got a gap but the more that sides below ya keep losing, the more time it gives us to sort our shit out.

I don’t know what sort of dark arts shit Macclesfield get up to to make us so wank at their place but it really is annoying.

To be fair if they beat you they will have lost the same games as you. They aren’t too bad, take out the deduction and the fact they just draw most weeks they are hard to beat in fairness.

Aye, Macc are a lot better than people realise. Some of their players would be more than handy for any team in this division. Still expect Crewe to win it just about but not surprised Macc are giving them a tough time in so doing.
