Barnet (11) v AFC Halifax (9)
Barrow (1) v Ebbsfleet United (23)
Chesterfield (22) v Sutton United (12)
Dagenham & Redbridge (20) v Torquay United (15)
Harrogate Town (4) v Maidenhead United (17)
Notts County (7) v Bromley (3)
Stockport County (5) v Boreham Wood (8)
Woking (10) v Chorley (24)
Wrexham (19) v Aldershot Town (18)
Yeovil Town (2) v Solihull Moors (6)

This weekend sees the last of the 5 match Christmas/New Years busy schedule and the last league game for 2 weeks for many teams (due to the FA Trophy next weekend) and sees 6 of the top 8 facing each other;-

Yeovil v Solihull.
Yeovil can strike another blow to Solihull's title hopes with a win - Solihull have only won 1 of their last 6 games and that was against Chesterfield so doesn't count for much. Yeovil need to win as Barrow should be looking to get 3 points from Ebbsfleet who failed in 2 attempts to beat Dagenham over the holiday period. Home Win

Notts County v Bromley.

Notts County have got 10 points from the last 12, whilst Bromley have won 3 and lost 2 of their last 5. The 2 loses were when Chris Bush was out suspended, but he's back now and they are much stronger at the back when he plays. A hard one to predict - draw??

Stockport v Boreham Wood.
Both teams are in good form and about the only thing you can guarantee is that it won't end up 0-0.

Elsewhere Wrexham, Harrogate, Chorley, Barnet and Sutton should all win.

A win could catapult us back into serious contention with those other fixtures.

We are due a goal after failing to score over Xmas and seem to have tightened things up defensively. Plus on current form you'd have to make us strong favourites to win this one.

That said, our record against top half sides is pretty dire. I make it 2 wins and only 10 points from 11 games. We need to improve that record if we are to push on.

As ever, I would expect a close, low scoring game but hoping we nick this 1-0.

Think we need to win against Bromley, at the moment there is a gap appearing between 4th and the rest of the play off contenders.
We need to be pushing 2nd and 3rd.

We also play our game in hand against Fylde after the FAT so a big couple of games.

Need to be looking to win this. Our record is better against the better teams (won five away games but none against anyone lower than Woking in 10th!), so every chance we can.

We’ve been very solid at the back since the introduction of Alex Lacey, with four clean sheets in five games. Keep that going and you generally fancy one of that front four to come up with a goal.

I don't think anyone cares.

Stephen Warnock is covering the Hartlepool game on BT and he's absolutely clueless beyond belief. Not a scooby on what he's watching. He just said Hartlepool will be hoping a win today will propel them up the league.

We're 1 up. Notts County still have a good shout at the title IMO.

Halifax have shown that incisive counterattacking trumps slow possession every time.

Absolutely mad half of football at the Lane, we’ve hit the inside of the post with a penalty and they’ve had a goal disallowed because it went straight it in from a throw in. Bromley are surrounding the ref after every little decision now and getting loads of crosses in, we’re a real threat on the break, interesting second half ahead.

HT 0-0. Very frustrating. Solihull are doing what they always do, spoiling & timewasting from the 1st minute, but we haven't been good enough to combat it. Referee is a wimp. They should have had 5 or 6 booked for kicking the ball away at our free kicks. A shocking game and that's how the Solihull like it.

Didn't Bromley 'score' from a throw in the FA cup too?

I’m not surprised, it’s a ridiculously big throw. A guy headed it in on the line so he must have been pretty much inside the goal when he did.

Second half delayed as one of our floodlights is knackered, there's smoke coming from the vicinity. Fire engine on the scene. Can see this being abandoned.

Easier win than the score line suggests, we were decent but Wrexham were absolutely dire, how is Keates still in a job?

Gonna call that one hard fought. Bromley make Solihull look like Barcelona or something. Although they did make a sort of hungover, quiet new year Meadow Lane crowd into one which really, really wanted to beat them, which is kind of a compliment.

Delighted by how we stood up to the kind of team we’ve struggled against - last time a team tried that kind of thing against us Barrow tore us apart.

The red card played a big part in today's result, but Ebbsfleet looked a bit of a mess before that, and I'm sure it would've been comfortable anyway. They are down.

To be fair I just mean the pace and pressing you played with - in terms of actual football you’re world’s apart from Bromley’s set piece bombardment.
