Lost to Sutton, Chorley and Maidenhead last 3 games. Can’t really score more than one a game and can’t defend for toffee will only end one way. Relegation on a budget way over a million, Peter Taylor magic football folks.

Stockport County.
What's the latest with the relegation spots in this league?

FlashScores (not a majorly reliable source I know) changed the relegation spots to 3 the last few weeks but yesterday it was back to 4. Has anything been confirmed on that?

Not being harsh on Bury, I do feel for them but surely they can't be allowed in this league next season?

My God.
We are second in the league!!!
The away games only league.
What a shame we have to play half our games at home.

nothing has been officially confirmed - but it looks 99.9% sure that only 3 will go down, not that County need to worry about that

Before you played us (Barrow) you lost your main striker injured - is he still out?

Balanta is out until the new year but he’ll only get around 10 goals a season, he’s a number 10 not a main striker. We’re a one man team if I’m honest the rest are an utter shambles.

We do have 4-5 other injured players but results weren’t that good before hand mid table at best. The team yesterday 8 started the season so Taylor can’t blame injuries too much, Taylor is currently absent from games and training due to knee replacement.

We’ve lost 10 in 12 and still don’t sack him.

We've won two in a row for the first time this season, got out of the bottom four after briefly being bottom again yesterday.... And there is a thread on RP about promotion.

Agree with all of that. How impressive were the two youngsters coming in at the last minute and not knowing each other or any of their team mates? Their game management was spot on, they didn't try to overplay when it wasn't appropriate. I imagine Dicko was a great help to them.

I was thoroughly impressed with both. It'll be interesting to see if Sarll keeps faith with them on Tuesday against Denton or reverts back to the experience of Collins. Probably the most pleasing part of yesterday was how solid we looked defensively, but as I've already said, every player played exceptionally well considering the circumstances.

Having watched Sarll's post-match interview it would appear the 4th official made the decision to send off Gold for deliberately stamping on Jeff King's head after he fell to the floor, not the referee, so I'll retract a bit of my disgust over his performance yesterday. Doesn't excuse the other 89 minutes of play where he seemed keen to let Halifax roll around on the floor after every challenge. As Sarll says, it will be interesting to see the replay of that, as it's a pretty hefty accusation if he's done it on purpose.

Look, I don't mind people saying we were poor, even claiming Yeovil were "brilliant", but that's just a fucking outright lie! No need for it pal, you beat us with 10 men, well done you, but please cut out the lying

Don’t want to take credit away from Yeovil but we always bottle it against 10 men. I knew what was coming.

As for the red card, a journalist from our local paper said he’d seen the footage back at half time and reckoned it was a red. Says the lad kicked out whilst Jeff King was on the floor. He’s pretty unbiased too compared to some commentators I’ve listened to this season on BBC.

Yup, fair enough. I'm not naive enough to suggest any of our players are saints. If the video shows it looks in anyway deliberate it should be a hefty ban.

Calm down with the hostility. I am simply commenting on the game I saw. Some of your players went down far too easily and the referee fell for it time and time again.

As a County fan, until we get to 50 odd points I always look at the last relegation place whatever division we're in.

Yesterday was just another 3 points towards safety for me. I don't see us challenging seriously for the play-offs this season.

We were terrible yesterday. We had a lot of the ball second half but hardly created anything.

I didn’t plonk up to Barrow yesterday ,but the only surprise was that we only conceded 1 goal. Keeper had a blinder, but there’s no disguising the fact that collectively we just ain’t good enough to escape the zone just above the drop.

No they didn't, and neither did the ref! You got your 3 points and your famous "victory against overwhelming odds", now you want to impugn my team with the charge of cheating their way to defeat too! I'm not having it. :ds:

Ardley has to go, stability is one thing but if we limp to the end of the season I can't see next being any better.
His refusal to change and make obvious substitutions is annoying. Teams have worked his setup and tactics now so it's not going to get any better.

There is a reason boxing judges are sat at 3 different sides of the ring and score bouts completely differently. Same with cricket umpiring and line judges in tennis. People see things differently based upon their position to an event. Just because I don't agree with you, doesn't make me a liar. This is an online forum, I would have thought that was obvious?

You can't possibly have seen what you claim to have seen. This is entirely consistent with a trend you often see on these sort of forums when the winner isn't satisfied with merely winning but seeks a moral, righteous victory too by implying the losers only got what they deserved.

To be fair B2TF will have had a much better view of it than you though, watching it on his TV.

I do, not out of holding this County team in great esteem but mostly because the whole league (aside from Barrow's fantastic form) is a bit rubbish. All we haveto do is keep up some consistency and a playoff place is there for the taking.

A few interesting* stats from the National League 2019/20 at roughly the half-way stage. - lowest ever points total for leaders - highest ever points total for last place - (and as would stand to reason) lowest number of points between last and first *might not be interesting

To be honest though - what does he really know about this league....
he's backed Wrexham to win the league this season
and every single season he says Barrow will struggle....

According to Tim Flowers you were the better side for the entire game and we didn't create anything.
Yes, I saw that on twitter. Strange comments from Tim, you were clearly the better team. Surpirsed you played that well considering your league position.
