Yes, I saw that on twitter. Strange comments from Tim, you were clearly the better team. Surpirsed you played that well considering your league position.

I suppose after the cup game it's been a frustrating time for him. I was fully expecting you to hammer us so the result was a huge and pleasant surprise.

You never know who will turn up with us at the moment. We can play well or we can play like we did at Ebbsfleet. We are turning a corner though. The race for 10th is on!

Flowers is a clown, his interviews are always hilarious.

His mob are the biggest cheats in the league, they tried every trick in the book on Saturday but we stood up to them really which gives me confidence that we will actually stay up. God knows how many bookings in the game, felt like about 15.

11 according to flash score - Wrexham won that 6-5... how on earth did that shit Osbourne not get booked when 11 players did?

Barrow's form really has been quite something. If they keep this up for much longer, they could well go on and romp to second place behind Wrexham given the inconsistency of everyone else.

2020 will be 48 years since we were kicked out of the league - Wrexham are only just over 10 years - so they can wait a bit longer ;) - but hey - thanks for beating Solihull :)

It's just suddenly occurred to me that Barrow are on a good run of form.
Good luck against Exeter by the way - If you go through our 3 Christmas and New Year matches will be against teams who might have their minds on the FA Cup 3rd round....

If we win it’s meaningless we’ll only get fucking Oxford away. Whoopee do.

I’d rather we keep our full focus on finishing 15th for the 79th consecutive season.

He'd much rather it be us on a good run though. If you searched the term 'Wrexham' it would be featured in about 1500 of his posts on here.

Alan Alger on twitter

A few interesting* stats from the National League 2019/20 at roughly the half-way stage. - lowest ever points total for leaders - highest ever points total for last place - (and as would stand to reason) lowest number of points between last and first *might not be interesting

Fair play to him for tweeting “the league is the worst it’s been for years” in a more creative way this time. Makes a change from the previous 10 seasons he’s said it.

Give it a rest Chipmunx lad.

It's OK, he's just getting a bit giddy.

On the 8th December last year we were 4th on 46 points after 23 games. I know for Barrow it's all a bit new. If you manage to maintain this form until the end of the season that will be some achievement. Good luck.

It’s only Chipmunx’s giddy way too early half way through the season excitement that’s kept the posters on Red Passion from going into complete meltdown recently so come on give the guy a fucking break.

Being a Barrow fan you get used to endless pessimism, so we enjoy this sort of thing while it lasts.

very true Matt - my 1st game was a Lancashire cup match against Accrington Stanley in 1980 - and apart from odd short spells we've had no success in this league - certainly not this long into a season...

2 matches tonight;-

AFC Fylde v Sutton United

Fylde have won 4 of their last 6 matches, but Sutton have improved of late and ground out a 1-1 draw at fast fading Notts County at the weekend. Much will depend on the ex-Barrow duo of Danny Rowe and Jordan Williams who are Fyldes main attacking threat and also Fylde's keeper Sam Hornby who got slated at Barnet at the weekend. I can see this being another low scoring game ruined by the wind, with Fylde likely to take all 3 points - just. (Home Win)

Chesterfield v Yeovil

As I said in the 1st post on this thread Chesterfield would need to score 2 to have a chance to win either game and would get a maximum 1 point from the 2 matches against Bromley and tonight. They had that point on Saturday and Evans threw it away. Yeovil should (?) have 3 players (defenders) back from suspension and put another nail in Sheridan's managerial coffin. Yeovil should get 2 or 3 goals, whilst Chesterfield "might" get 1. (Banker Away Win)

We should have a few players back available but Sarll has a quandary given the performance without them on Saturday. Our defence looked stronger than previously despite the two debutants at CB. Murphy is a must to come back even though Duffus got two at the weekend. We need to win to keep up the pressure on Barrow.

If Yeovil has a Women's team you could play their strikers up front and score 2 or 3 against Chesterfield...
