I would think 350 minimum up to 600 if we're on a good run and in with a chance of catching you.
Barring disasters I'll be there and I don't go to that many so there's probably quite a few like me who've pencilled it in.

Pretty much everyone I know who does any away games is going, reckon it’ll be maybe 5/600 and potentially more if we keep the good run going between now and then.

It was me and I still stand by the right for tiny clubs to give it a go but for all money spent by the owners to be gifts not loans that wreck the club down the line.
In the end gravity takes over and Rushden, Histon, FGR will all find their natural level, as will we, can't sustain Premiership or even Championship any more but could stabilise at Div 1.
Stockport, Wrexham, Chesterfield, Notts all have the ability to go higher and maintain it. Harrogate, Boreham Wood will give it a go but in the end it won't last, but still think they have the right to give it a go, otherwise what's the point of a competitive pyramid of leagues.

I'm pretty sure when Football League clubs voted for automatic relegation into non-League it was in the confident expectation that the natural advantages of urban town and city clubs over the village teams of non-league would mean that the relegated clubs could count on an early return to the League. Indeed this was the case in the early years of the project. Nobody anticipated the phenomenon of the Mickey Mouse outfits with millionaire backers and financing that would eclipse the resources of long standing Football League clubs with thousands of supporters. These clubs are doing actual damage to clubs like ours. They artificially inflate the wages market, and each one that gets into the League this way condemns the REAL club that would otherwise have gone up to another year, leaching away support in this Dog and Duck league. This isn't the kind of competition that the change was designed to encourage. :£:£:£

All clubs are real, you can't artificially inflate the players market, the market is what buyers pay.
Football league chairmen to their credit voted for inclusivity and for opening up the closed shop football league, ridding itself of the monstrously unfair re-election process.
Real clubs as you call them condemn themselves by being badly run, Man U have no right to finish above Sheffield United, Notts have no God given right to finish above Boreham Wood, or Halifax who from where I'm standing are a small club of no great historical note.
You've somehow got it into your head that Halifax are non league Galacticos.

Our promotion to the Championship was the worst thing that could have happened to us. We lost a play off final a few years previous to that and our Chairman secretly said at the time he was petrified of us going up as financially we couldn't sustain it. When we did finally go up we lasted one season and then plummeted down the leagues to where we are now. Be careful what you wish for.

Didn’t you have promotion wage rises in the players' contracts though?

The only way promotion can ruin you is if you spend unsustainably.

Pretty much everything we earned from going up went on keeping the club afloat. Our owners at the time ran a notoriously tight ship, we didn't buy a single player before or during that season.

You KNOW what I'm talking about!

Why was the re-election process unfair? The League was a club, owned by the members of it, the members made the rules, just like any other club. Your whole argument is based on the fallacy that those outside the club somehow had a RIGHT to be in it. They did not.

Real clubs are NOT badly run, as you allege! Some are. So tell me, how is a club like mine, with an average attendance that varies between 1500 and 2000, supposed to compete with a club like, for example Gateshead, a club who at the time were averaging 600 but were receiving funds equivalent to an average gate of 3000 (as admitted by the chairman), a figure neither club had a hope of attaining? Or Forest Green, formerly a pub team that suddenly starts splashing £3,000,000 a year on its squad every summer? Or Fleetwood, ditto? My club is run superbly well, every penny received is squeezed for its full value and every bill is paid bang on time. Do you still want to talk about monstrous inequality?

Important to note that FC Halifax were formed in the same year as AFC Fylde came into being so nowt to distinguish between them really.
Sorry Brothers, you're all 10 years late to this party, when the argument was won hands down, with the full backing of the FA. Please refer further enquiries to the FA.:ds::bdick:

The FL changed the rules to let Conference teams in, thems the new rules and are for the better. Re-election was unfair because it wasn't always the bottom team that went out, often no team went out which is monstrously unfair to the champions of this division.
Hardly any clubs in the League break even, most run at losses requiring a lender of last resort to prop them up. Whether it's Boreham Wood or Man City or Macclesfield, owners pump money in.
Getting bigger crowds than Fylde is fine, we get bigger crowds than you, Forest get bigger crowds than us. So what, crowd revenue isn't the only revenue. Football isn't fair and having watched Notts in all five divisions I promise you it gets more unfair the higher up you go. We hit exactly the same problem but just one or two divisions higher up where our crowds aren't enough to outspend an ambitious chairman.
I understand your argument I just don't have much sympathy for it, this isn't the closed shop of county cricket, it's an ultra competitive pyramid of leagues.

Mind you, I would never have sanctioned the forming of the Premier League and home teams keeping all revenue. That along with the Bossman ruling, ( which having left the EU we could now theoretically repeal ) killed it for smaller clubs.
