A very comfortable performance from us last night. Early goals in both halfs helped. Despite them getting a couple of goals only made the result look closer than it actually was. Three wins on the trot and all set for a cracking game away at Notts Saturday

Just seen Dennis' goal and that was one sweet curling finish. I love a first time hit like that.

Keep as an effective goalscoring substitute or reward him with a starting lineup spot?

I thought you were alright. Showed us far too much respect up until we scored, but after that you started to press and caused us a few problems. Were similar to Fylde who we played recently and a few others in playing some neat stuff but lacking a final ball. I've been pretty surprised by how not-that-physical this league is all told.

We're starting to win games now largely because of the individual quality we've got, which I thought was bound to happen at some point. Being able to bring Kristian Dennis and Michael Doyle off the bench at this level is ridiculous.

We did the same at Chesterfield showed them too much respect, but they are poor and we got a draw. We tend to play teams that are recently relegated as a big deal, pathetic approach.

Battered by Yeovil in the first half last night. Was worried it might be 4 or 5 nil by the end. We improved in the second half and our goal was so good it was probably worth 2 !!

Yeovil certainly the best side I've seen so far. Fucking A303 was shut on the way home which meant I didn't get in until 12.30am

We need to find a way to win again, last night was the first time I've been concerned this season. Maybe part-time is catching up with us

Don't worry, we always draw when we play each other so you've got a solid away point coming up on Saturday.

We are comically bad at defending corners. We must concede 60% of our goals from them

That’s the thing we look tidy on the ball but nothing up top and with a defence as bad as that we’re always going to concede.

I maintain that Hignett’s not the man for the task. We learn nothing from our mistakes. Can’t see anything other than 15 or 16th again. Same failings time and again. Sorry but we really should be doing better than that at this level.

Fucking hell, I can't believe Hartlepool fans have been swanning around on here like they're Bayern fucking Munich. They were useless at The Shay, but how long have they been this bad? :woot::woo::fl:

Well yet another false dawn. We are poorly set up, nothing up front, miles off the pace, can’t defend for shit, heads down after we concede, nowt changes and yes I know Chief Rocka will say what good it does changing the manager but it boils down to him at the end of the day. He never learns from his mistakes, he pisses about with the team, he can’t set up to be hard to beat and he talks a lot of shite. He’ll bang on about 80% possession tonight, aye but did nowt with it Higgy, as usual. You signed these players, some of them aren’t bad for this league, it’s your head on the block, you aren’t getting the best out of them. Defensive mistakes are costing us but it’s him who signed Fraser Kerr, it’s him who plays 3 at the back with spaces between the three the size of Greenland...and wtf is Kenton Richardson doing in the team ahead of Cunningham. Useless.

That's what I thought. It stinks of desperation

He’s just a sad act who supports Sheffield Utd and sits in front of his CPU all day posting shite. I just pity him to be honest.

Chorley potentially the most negative footballing team I’ve ever seen down at the Shay. Every man behind the ball deep in their own half. No intent to even counter.

Fair play to Chorley for getting what they wanted but there’s a reoccurring theme that we are struggling to score against teams coming to defend.

They did exactly the same to us. Anti-football.

We're missing a lump upfront, we've always got a combination of two lightweight forwards, James offers us nothing a Jack Russell in a Pools shirt wouldn't, I don't know what anyone sees in him, 5 goals in 55 appearances says it all , Gime is Gime and spends most of the game on edge of the box, we haven't a striker who can park his fat arse inside the box and just poke in the crosses.

Second half was much better but far too late, dunno if that's cos we stepped it up or Stockport took their foot off the gas but it's the wild inconsistency that is the most frustrating, these same players were tremendous on Saturday, Kenton and Kerr in particular were immense against a Yeovil side who were on a tear, three days later they're playing like the The Woodcutter on The Rec.

I can't see Singh getting rid of Hignett any time soon, even if he did, he'd move him back upstairs and let Ged take over.

You’re probably right there, sadly. Oh well, let’s see if we can break Wrexham’s record for seasons down here.

Stockport just stuck 10 behind the ball second half so gave us the freedom to fanny about with the penetration of a hippo in quicksand.

sadly for you you'll never break it as Wrexham will never get promoted.....

I’m jealous of his car though, gets you from Wrexham to Halifax in around 45 minutes so it must be pretty good.

There’s only 2 of on here I think.
We nearly always lose at Aldershot so was expected.

Given how shit our home record has been last three years how many teams ‘always lose at Aldershot’. What’s happened to LeWhites, he was a decent poster?
