The Sutton fan laughed himself stupid If I recall when we signed him. EDIT - that was actually chief - eat your words sunshine! But neither Wrexham or Sutton rated him.

He's a good player, skillful, quick and strong but he's down here for a reason - decision making. He'll often pick the wrong option. Last night he got 2 but should've had a couple of assists as well, didn't see others in better positions to shoot, and then he missed one at the near post in the last 5 minutes that someone like Danny Rowe would've notched. Not a criticism as he's done well so far but as Chief Rocka says he's gonna give us kittens this season.
Fondop started well for us. I'll eat my words if he scores more than 20.

I thought that was terrific. It was lovely to see all those little Wrexham faces light up last night upon their famous win, jumping up and down whirling their shirts in the air after smashing little Halifax. They even stopped singing about us a few times to celebrate their team's achievement!

But really, it's preferable to lose to 5,000 fans who deserve a break rather than one man dressed head to toe in buttons stood on his tod behind a goal in Zone 34. I thought our game plan was adequate and it sometimes comes down to who makes that individual error that ends up with the deciding goal.

We need a bit more quality or pluck across the field. The defence are still very good on the whole. Cameron King (#10) was our only mode of attack most of the time but my god was he performing well. A better shot on him, say if he converted that free kick after the red card, and he'd be on a 10/10 performance. Then up front we need a lot more going on than Sho-Silva isolated and Odelusi on the bench, regardless of when the latter finally finds a club. We have obvious limits and I'm happy still.

It is, unless the ‘old’ Dover ever played and beat us at Underhill.

We did technically knocked you out of the FA trophy a few years back, by the fact that you played an unregistered player ,the game at Underhill where it finished 3-2 to you, we went through to play FGN in the next round , must say what a great set up you have at The Hive although, dismayed that you feel to have to charge £5 for a 2 year old to enter the ground, surely in this day and age and with your set up, the aim must be to encourage families , not alienate them

Hats off to whoever made those Partisans, International Brigades and Anti-Nazi flags on display by the Cae Ras terrace btw. Really great to see at a football ground but would probably be banned from somewhere like the Shay just in case they upset an atavistic Ustaše cell of season-ticket holders.

4 goals scored (including 2 penalties) from our 4 games so far. This is a continuation of last season's form and I think it's fairly easy to see where our problems lie.

Wasn't at the game last night but I can't say that I'm overly surprised by the result. Dover seem to be a strong, capable side and are now unbeaten in I think 7 away games. Fair play to them.

As for us, if we are to make any sort of sustained top 7 push, we are going to have to find a way to start scoring a few more goals. Signing a target man might help but the goals have got to come from midfield too.

And based on what I've seen so far, we aren't creating nearly enough clear cut opportunities so it's difficult to see us suddenly becoming more prolific.

I predicted us to finish top half but outside of the play off picture and whilst obviously very early days, that looks a fair assessment so far.

The offending player, Adam Campion, had played about two games for us before and never played for us again!

There's a Cofiwch Dryweryn flag next to them too. If you're unaware of what that's all about, it's worth a google.

I don't know how much more I can take to be honest. Not of non league, just of the constant shit served up and humiliation. It's been absolutely constant for 4 years. It's just draining and soul destroying, such an incredibly sad story for a club that was on the cusp of championship football. We've never been a great team but we've at least fucking tried and shown some heart. I've never known such horrible shit so constantly in all my years as a chesterfield fan

Only 4? You’ve had it good mate.
Try watching 10 seasons of utter dog shit.

We got a right drubbing last night, Solihull were extremely efficient, quick direct and put away their chances, helped by the worst keeper(Anyon) we could possibly have, please hurry back Matt Urwin. We had chances and could have scored 3. No doubt Solihull will be there or thereabouts this season.
You're actually playing Joe Anyon?

You've been relegated twice in 11 years. We've had 3 in 5 seasons and the other 2 we nearly went down as well. I'll swap if you want

For 70 minutes we were dreadful, last 20 after the substitutions was better but too little too late. Bromley were very clever with their time wasting and were helped out by a completely incompetent referee who took control of the game whatsoever. If Danny Searle didnt the ball from Bromley's bench towards the end, it would still be there now.

Still hoping there's another 47 points in us this season (well 44 after we beat Woking at the Rec in March ;) ).

Comfortable win at Aldershot last night. The type of ugly 1-0 you need several times a season to succeed at this level.

Fondop started well for us. I'll eat my words if he scores more than 20.

I apply Fondopication factor to any new striker that joins us. Hooper is still under review as we speak. Fondop scored 6 in 6, I actually think he's better than Gime Toure.

Toure is poo, he will go AWOL before the end of the season. Mark my words.

Thanks for summarising. I legit believe our defence + loan keeper (who I hope stays) are top 7. Sadly the attack isn't on the same level but Devonshire was wise to line up with pace today which he hasn't done in our previous games.

I knew you would win when I walked in and someone was standing in my spot.

The FL should tell them now "we don't care where you finish we are NOT admitting you into the greatest League in the world!" :ds:

Good summary, point of order though- taking the piss out of Wrexham fans is MY job. Have to say though the real life Wrexham fans rightly recognised us as brothers and equals, as they always have done. :bdick:

Is Dayle Southwell still at Halifax?

Yes, recovering from a bad injury he sustained towards the end of last season. Think he could really flourish under our new style of play

Yeah, Rooney didn't need to do that, but no different to Jordan Keane when he scored! Come on, a bit of balance please.
Just watched the highlights, Keane is definitely making a point of keeping his hands behind his back, had your lot been shouting 'handball' at him or summat? But yeah I agree, he shouldn't be doing it, it's ridiculous that removing your shirt is an automatic booking but pointedly winding up the crowd is not.

Both should be booked, however, I still maintain Rooney was on a whole other level of bellendosity.

His recovery must be going well because he was recorded fighting in Lincoln on Saturday night.

I don't think anyone had even noticed Keane up to that point, so it seemed a bit strange that he was coming over to us to celebrate - just seemed like he was on the wind-up, which is usually expected. Couldn't really see what Rooney did from where we were sat - he's a bit of a twat as you'd expect, but I think he'd been given a bit of a hard time all evening by the County fans.

You’ve become so disillusioned with your club that you seem to have forgotten your own recent history.
