Are either ground NL standard? Whatever that is these days.

They should both be. Polar opposites, Slough's is brand spanking new, Wealdstone's is a hodge podge of about 8 different stands. I liked both of them when I've been there though Slough's is a bit soulless.

These two sound like the worst teams to come up ever to be honest.

Wealdstone are a proper non-league club and it's hard to begrudge their return to this level after about 20 years without a home ground. Ditto for Slough.

Wealdstone have the title in the bag anyway and I'd rather Slough than Havant again or bankrolled Dorking, though Bath and Weymouth are proper non-league clubs. Other possibilities are Maidstone or Dartford again, and Hampton & Richmond or Oxford City who would both be well out their depth at step 1, love H&R's ground though.

I don't want Maidstone up - John Still is like a voodoo to Barnet so he would doubtless screw us over once again if we came up against him next season.

Wealdstone would bring a decent away following to their our ground and there would definitely be some needle so having them up would be very welcome - much like Boreham Wood, they will probably consistently turn us over, mind.

And Stevenage returning to their natural level is long overdue. It's also a good away day where we take 1,000+ if we are competing at the right end of the table.

Just to show how much we have improved this season - the win for us on Tuesday against Dover means that we now have 2 points more than we got in the whole of last season... with 12 games left.

Stevenage coming down and Kings Lynn coming up from the north. Harrogate and Halifax look well placed to follow Barrow up too. Chorley, Fylde or Chesterfield most likely going down.

This league is ridiculously southern and by southern of couse I mean tinpot.

We're not going up. Sure, we'll win enough to stay in the play offs but we lack the mental strength and focus needed to win the big, one-off, Play-Off games. I don't have any problem saying Harrogate have that. :lac:

I want Wealdstone and Slough up from the South and Stevenage down. That means the Southern sides can all play each other in derbies rather than Maidenhead having to go to Notts or Solihull on Boxing Day.
Last time we played Slough, we won a Trophy game there and at the end one of their players punched our manager Chris Wilder in the face and knocked him out. Nice club, huh? :cool1:

Stockport County.

I don't begrudge any of the teams down there their chance to return to this level, it's just that Wealdstone and Slough just sound so unappealing. But now you've mentioned the other candidates, it is fair to say its slim pickings.
